I tried to ask a worker if I could use the bathroom before I order, but every time I asked, she interrupted me saying that if I can't wear a mask then can I have my mom order for me because my mom was wearing a mask. I kept trying to explain, no I'm going to order for myself I cannot wear a mask. And she continued interrupting me saying the same thing over and over, I think she said it's their company's policy. Finally I loudly said, "no! She cannot order for me, i will order for myself because I'm a grown woman!"
I also told them what my condition was because I wasn't thinking clearly enough in the moment, I shouldn't have been put on the spot like that. I wasn't expecting that at all even when people do try to make me wear a mask, they don't say something crazy like "can she order for you since she's wearing a mask." That is literally nonsense! I just wanted a coffee. I have never been there prior to this. I didn't even know what I would order so how would this even make sense? I would ask all my coffee questions to my mom first then my mom would ask them? Then they would answer my mom and my mom would answer me like a game of telephone? What if I came here without my mom like I usually do when I go places?
We just went on a weekend trip and no one bothered me about masks at the stores, 2 hotels, and restaurants and safari that we went to. No one even questioned me, they were all nice and welcoming. I'm highly thankful for no incidents on our trip. But people really need to understand how to deal with customers. I didn't see a single person wearing a mask besides the workers and my mom! So why did she insist I couldn't order for myself like I do EVERYWHERE I GO?!
I'm honestly shocked that people come here if this is how they're treated without a mask, i won't be back. But i did actually pay for some coffee afterward only because I really wanted some coffee. Otherwise I would have just left after using the bathroom because I don't believe customers should be alienated for any reason especially because of a real medical condition that I have and I told her that I don't know how many times. The other worker was nice and answered my coffee questions professionally.
When I go out places, I just hope to shop or do whatever I'm doing without incident. I don't like having to defend my reasoning for not wearing a mask. If I have a medical condition, and i make that known to them, that should have been...
Read moreStopped in because reviews mentioned good soup and walked out impressed by the food, atmosphere, and customer service. My mushroom soup was LOADED with mushrooms, I was promptly greeted at the counter, and my food and drink were delivered just as promptly. While I sat I had the pleasure of listening to someone I assume was a manager at a table behind me, taking the time to walk new employees thru various customer service scenarios as part of what sounded like a very thorough training process. It’s rare to see a place that really invests in their employees, gives them time & resources to learn the role, and sets them up for success from the beginning. No wonder this place has such great reviews!! Prices were a little higher than you’ll see elsewhere, but the soup was well worth what they were asking and it takes money to train and hold onto good employees like that, especially for a small business in this economy. Worth paying a bit more for good...
Read moreThis is my favorite coffee shop. Their coffee is THE BEST. Their food is absolutely delicious and they make it all, nothing frozen. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience here. They have different variety of seating: chairs, bar stools, and couches. They even have toys for kids to play with while you can enjoy your coffee. I’ve been coming here since 2017. I was so happy when I found out they opened another location (their drive thru). The workers are the nicest and I’ve talked to the owner too and he’s just as nice. They have great music in the background. Nothing too loud to bother you while studying or chatting with a friend. I love that they play Christian music too! My favorite coffee is an iced hazelnut latte and their original cinnamon rolls! Their quiches are really good too and they have a lot of gluten free options. Definitely recommend this place! You have to...
