Pikadera - El Rey de las Bolitas de Queso — Restaurant in Fajardo

A friend recommend their "bolitas de queso" fried cheese balls. (I have to admit they are great.)

The first time I visited Pikadera it said on Google Maps that they were open. We ended up eating at the restaurant next door because it was closed.

So this second time I tried calling before making the trip. The first time they didn't answer and the second time they hang up my call. I decided to make the trip anyways and I was really happy to see it was open.

As soon as I arrived I ordered a sampler. It was delicious BUT WE HAD TO WAIT MORE THAN AN HOUR for it. Good thing we weren't thinking of ordering a plate of food after.

They probably forgot our order but we had to asked twice where was our "frituras" after a long wait. I will probably return but I have to say that the service and wait time was...

Long list of amazing things, including the staff, the atmosphere, the food and drinks, location. The vibes were so cool, we had to go back a second time. We went once at night and once for brunch, both highly recommended. I tried the Mojito and a crab roll, fries and a Passion Fruit juice, all were freshly prepared, and...

El lugar es abierto, ambiente familiar. El sampler es la mejor alternativa, con bolitas de queso, bolitas de mofongo, tostones, arepitas de coco, alitas, carne frita y filetes de pollo. Pedimos el de 2 a 3 personas en $21 y sobró bastante. El sabor y el condimento de todo súper, la carne frita deliciosa y blanda. También ordenamos un pastelillo de pepperoni y miel, estaba bien rellenito de queso. Valió la pena. Lo recomiendo. Se puede ordenar por teléfono para carry out. Podria mejorar en el servicio, entre sentarnos y que se nos entregara el menú, y luego tomar la orden, pasamos un tiempo esperando. La misma joven que estaba en la entrada, termina entregando menús y atendiendo mesas y cobrando. Luego se incorporó otra empleada al piso. Entiendo que es la dueña quien entregaba los platos a la mesa. Hacía falta una opción así...
