Dempsey's Public House — Restaurant in Fargo

My wife and I went here about 3 weeks ago to watch a live band. Was having a great time. Band was great and the server (although it was busy) was on top of us, pretty much never had an empty cup. Now where it went bad... I had 2 airplane shooters (undrank) fall out of my coat that I completely forgot was there (we had ubered so my wife brought it to "pregame" earlier in the night before going to Dempsey's). Our waitress saw it and took it, scolded us as well; we apologized and went on dancing thinking "oopsie, but no big deal". About that same time, my wife noticed a couple of women having a weird interaction with a group of 3 men. One of them ended up leaving with the group. She went over to the remaining woman and asked if everything was okay and if she needed a ride home. What she told us about the other lady's situation concerned us, so she sent me out to make sure the other lady was okay. I went outside to find that one of the guys was getting arrested. After about 5 mins I came back in to learn that we were getting kicked out. Apparently, men forcefully making a woman leave with them is okay in their book, but airplane shooters — no, no, no. And when my wife called him out for exactly that, the "bouncer" even threatened to call the cops on us for carrying airplane shooters. 😂 It's really not a bad spot, but we'll go somewhere that values...

Omg this place is soooooo confusing and employees are not trained well. We walked in at 8:40 PM on a Thursday night. Our server took our drink orders. We asked if there were any specials and she said no but if we waited till 9 PM it would be happy hour so we got one drink at regular price and decided to wait until 9 PM to order more drinks. At 9 PM a different server came over and helped us. She said the other server was on break. We asked about happy hour and she said that ended at 9 PM. We told her the other server told us it started at 9 PM. Then she had a bouncer come over who told us happy hour ended at 7 PM. We told him what the other two servers said and then he got the manager, Joe, who said that both were wrong and he would speak with them. He said there was another special where if you got a drink you also got a hotdog until 9 PM and then starting at 9 PM there was a four dollar special on beer. We talked to FOUR different employees and all of them had different answers. Nobody seemed to know what was going on there. Joe was polite and offered to buy us each a drink. I was here the other night and had laid my head down on the table for literally 5 seconds because I was feeling nauseous and my acid reflux was acting up… a pink haired girl on a power trip comes by and slams her hand on the table right next to my head and yells at me in a very rude town to put my head up. I asked her why and she said that’s the law do you want me to kick you out??

Me and my friends tried ignoring her and then we see her go over to her coworker and start pointing at us and shooting us nasty looks… Complete overreaction. Not sure if she was overworked or what but she really needs to manage her anger.

As we walked out she decided to follow me and my friends. She takes a picture of me and immediately turns and runs back inside. Didn’t realize laying my head down for 2 seconds was a such a big deal. Nor do I feel comfortable with her having my picture on her phone. Not only was it illegal for her to do that but very unprofessional. I called and spoke to the manager but we got disconnected and they haven’t tried to reach back out. I’ve been going here many years and had literally never seen this girl until tonight. Ruined my...
