Fort Noks Bar of Gold — Restaurant in Fargo

I had a highly disappointing experience at this bar yesterday. My friend and I, both in wheelchairs, wanted to enjoy some time on their patio. Unfortunately, the only access to the patio is via stairs, but there was a gate that we thought could be used for accessibility. After asking the bouncer to let us in through the gate, he did so reluctantly. We then overheard him make an insensitive remark about why "two people in wheelchairs" would come to a bar that is clearly not accessible.

When I confronted him about his comment, he was rude and dismissive. Later, I needed to use the restroom and had to go inside the main bar, as there were no accessible facilities on the patio. I asked the bouncer to open the gate again, but he refused and instead suggested that he would carry me. I was uncomfortable with this, but he insisted, leading to an awkward and inappropriate situation.

Attended for pride weekend. Short staffed so service was initially slow when sitting outside on their patio. We had to go in to get several rounds of drinks. Asked one person (dark haired girl who appeared to work here) if she was serving outside and she stated "no, I'm not working today" then she proceeded to go behind the bar to ring up drinks and serve others inside the bar as well as taking out a garbage. As we stayed longer, service improved greatly and bartender (blonde haired girl) was excellent about getting to our large group. Dogs are welcome on the patio, which is a bonus. No food other than popcorn and peanuts, so we ordered from bbq next door. No problems with bringing in...

We came here as our last bar stop of the night, after waiting for over 30 mns for service at another and being told by a local that For Noks is a better bet for a less chaotic experience.

True to the word, the service here was super fast, the staff were awesome, and the energy was a bit less intense. We enjoyed the patio area, the inside was a bit loud, due to lack of anything to absorb sound.
