Red's Savoy Pizza — Restaurant in Fargo

Third time was not a charm for us! We tried Red's Savoy pizza here in Fargo for the 3rd time tonight and did not like it anymore than the first time.

The first time the crust wasn't cooked in the middle and it was soggy. There was so many toppings that the slices were heavy and the toppings just fell off. Since they were new we decided to give them another try.

The second time we were surprised at the cost for 1 large, 1 small, and pizza fries. Almost $60! Wow! If this pizza was out of this world, okay I can understand it being expensive, but it's meh, at best. This time again the middle crust was soggy and not cooked while the outside edges were burnt. I arrived 10 minutes prior to my pickup time and ended up waiting a total of 40 minutes in the store for my order. Never once while waiting did I receive an apology, but kept being told it will be out soon. A 40 minute wait, plus the drive time home, only to be disappointed by a soggy middle thats burnt around the edges $60 worth of pizza.

Now to the third time tonight. The crust was so soggy and undercooked this time it literally stuck to the box. We had to scrape the crust off of the box. We could pick up the toppings and the crust remained in the box. The outside edges were very crispy. For some reason this pizza tonight tasted very salty. We tried the pizza fries again tonight and they were the same as before, thin and crunchy.

Their pizzas aren't worth the hype or the price. My family was more excited the last time we ordered the cheap $6.99 pizzas from Papa John's and they arrived to our house hot and fresh. We gave Red's Savoy three chances and we won't be back...

The girls and I tried something new! Here is my take on Red's Savoy Pizza. I really liked it! This is the Meat Raffle (all meat). We got the family meal so that also included the kids pizza, 4 garlic cheese bread w/sauce, and 4 cookies. The pizza, legit, reminds me of Heggie's frozen pizza, which I love. I am looking forward to trying another sometime in the future. Each pizza box has a pull tab that gives you a chance to win! I got $1 off our next order. Talk about unexpected fun!

Quick side note that tells me a lot about their customer service.... my phone rings and it's the restaurant. The employee on the other end was immediately apologetic and said "I think the driver missed your cookies! I am so sorry! When he gets there have him come back to get them for you!" I told him that we would be fine, they were probably busy. I said can ya just give me a credit for the cookies? He said yes and we were good. The driver shows up and starts apologizing about the cookies and says "I will go back and get them right now! I am so sorry!" I informed that we all got it taken care of and we are good. Not 1, but 2 employees tried to fix a very small problem before I would have even known about it. That right there, my friends, is above and beyond, world class customer service. From a pizza joint. Tried the "quick lunch today" There was only 1 other person in there with me so they weren't super busy from what I could see. I figured they had slices ready for the quick lunch so I ordered 1 pep and 1 sausage. I was told the pep had to be cooked so it would "take a couple minutes but it will be fresh" fast forward to 25 minutes later and I'm given my container of food expecting fresh pizza for such a wait. Instead of what I ordered they gave me 2 pep slices and both were old and barely warm! I'm sorry, I know mistakes are to be made but I shouldn't have waited so long for old pizza.

On the taste, personality I am not for it. The sauce is spicy and has no sweetness. It is overpowering. The cheese is basic and im not sure if it ever had pull because it was so old. They also put the pep under the cheese which I don't understand as who wants raw pepperoni? I like the crisp edges of pep. Either way it's not sitting well with my stomach and I won't be going back. Casey's slices have this place beat by a longshot and they are a gas station.

The employees were decent and I have no complaints other than making someone wait so long for a wrong order of old pizza.
