35 minutes to get a sandwich.
Ordered online. Arrived at the designated pickup time, 15 minutes later. On arrival, there were 6-8 people in line waiting to order and 3 people waiting to pick up. 2 staffers visible working with a 3rd starting to put on an apron. 21 tickets hung up waiting to be fulfilled, with a pile more printed but not yet hung. 5 minutes standing before anyone would ask what I was there to pick up. Upon giving my name, 3 times, I was told something - impossible to hear over ambient sound in the shop - but something to the effect of "that hasn't been started yet" or "we haven't gotten that order yet" Another 5 minutes before my order was apparently printed out and 10 more minutes before I was interrogated again and, grudgingly, given my sandwich.
There was, apparentely, a 4th worker pecking away at a large catering order, but uninvolved with the online or in-person orders.
Was it good? Yes, it was delicious! Was the experience excruciating? Absolutely. Does the place appear to be extremely understaffed and as a result very chaotic? Yes.
My previous experience at this location (about 3 months before) had been poor and the downward progression was obvious. Is it entirely the fault of the people working? Not at all. There are many improvements which could be made to streamline the existing processes, but ultimately increasing staffing would do the most.
At the end of the day, this experience guarantees I won't be back for...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Jersey Mike's, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. I would give them a solid 9/10 rating for their exceptional food and service.
One standout item that I tried was the Philly cheese steak sub, and it was absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and had a great texture that paired perfectly with the melted cheese. The bread was fresh and had a nice crunch on the outside, while still being soft and fluffy on the inside. The peppers and onions added the perfect amount of sweetness and crunch to the sandwich, making it a truly satisfying meal.
Aside from the incredible food, the service at Jersey Mike's was also fantastic. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. They were able to help me navigate the menu and make recommendations based on my preferences, which was greatly appreciated.
One thing that really stood out to me was the attention to detail that went into each order. My Philly cheese steak sub was made exactly how I wanted it, and the toppings were evenly distributed throughout the sandwich. It's clear that the staff takes pride in their work and wants to make sure that each customer has a positive experience.
Overall, I would highly recommend Jersey Mike's to anyone looking for a great meal. The Philly cheese steak sub is definitely a standout item that is sure to impress, but there are plenty of other delicious options to choose...
Read moreThis was my go to Jersey Mike’s until my experience today. Customer service has often been lacking, but today was by far the worst and to top it off online orders took priority over customers actually waiting in line. I placed my single sub order in person at 12:23pm, and while waiting in line I actually saw them working online orders right in front of me that were placed as late as 12:39pm. By the time they got to the lady waiting in front of me, they ran out of tomatoes and also got my order wrong too (after reminding the lady for a second time what I ordered around 12:30). When I tried to correct it I received an attitude; therefore, I left at 12:54 with no food. Not only did I leave without my order, but the lady in front of me did too. While there for nearly 35 minutes I easily saw close to ten people leave without food or even placing an order. I understand online requests, but you can see where the priorities are and how stressed the employees were too. Unfortunately, they take it out on the customers!!! Will never order from this place again though it is only a 1.5 miles away. Next time I’ll try the place on Orchard Lake (2.5 miles away) and hope that serve is much better. If it is the same franchise then forget it. Also, had the manager been onsite I’m sure I wouldn’t have been the only one...
