I was in the wrong place at the wrong time today. After doing a bunch of chores in Farmington, I went by myself to eat at "Si Senor" Restaurant. I chose the "San Juan Deluxe Combination".
Eating halfway, I notice the Taco which was part of my dinner, was missing. I told the waitress. She said it's true, it was missing, and went to get me a Taco and brought it out on a separate plate with shredded lettuce beside the Taco.
When I eat something spicy (the chili), it plugs up my nose. So I asked the girl who serves the beverages before the waitress sees the patrons, to refill my Diet Coke, and that I would go to the restroom to blow my nose.
When I returned from the restroom, my food (2 plates) were gone. I said, "where's my food"? The waitress passing by said "I didn't take it". The waitress then went towards the back and a couple of ladies started talking in the back for a few minutes. I waited. The waitress then returned and said, don't worry, you will get your food back. The waitress brought me towards the back, and showed me a plate with very little food on it. I told her that the plate she showed me wasn't the one I was eating. She said it was. I was indignant and said no it wasn't.
So she went into kitchen in the back. I started to follow her. I was told I can't go back there. So I waited by the entrance to the kitchen. Then I asked what are you getting me? The waitress said a Tamale. I told her I don't want a Tamale, I want my food back! The waitress said, just be calm, and don't yell at her, or else she would call the police. I said where is the Manager? She said she will get her, but no one showed up. So I said, "Call the police". But no one called the police. I was mad.
To make it short, I walked to the front pay counter. The cashier/waitress seem to not want to see me. I said I will not pay full price, but I will pay a fair price for what has happen. They kept saying just keep calm to me. I ended up getting a 25% discount. Instead of paying $17.98, they removed $4.50, and I paid $13.48.
I didn't leave a tip on the receipt. I left upset. It seems they don't know how to handle situations like this, and that no one is going to get punished. I'm not going back there again. I will go to "Fiesta...

This is an excellent place to enjoy some great food and atmosphere. The restaurant is in a great location, looks great, clean, good prices, and tasty food! I always choose this place as my restaurant of choice when I'm in town visiting family and friends. This has been a favorite growing up and I continue to love it.
Of course I will start by saying that the chips and salsa/dip is excellent! They have a pretty good white cream dip that is pretty good. I tend to mix the two and it's AMAZING! The food is equally as good with what you would expect from actual New Mexican food. It's far from Tex Mex but not exactly authentic. I would definitely come back just for the food. They always drop off a basket of excellent sopapillas.and honey! You also know this is a good restaurant if they make and sell fresh tortillas!
The prices are fair, you get good portions and a good variety of food. I have always found something different on the menu I like, although I always turn to the #1 as it has a little bit of everything.
My one and only complaint is that service is spotty. I've been there several time in the last few weeks and have had great service one visit and average or the service fell below my expectation. One visit we had multiple servers filling our drinks and checking on us and others we had one server who wouldn't come back without having to wave him down.
Overall this place is a good choice for Mexican in the Four Corners. I can't officially say it's the best as there are a lot of places I have yet to try, but I would strongly recommend this place for the food and atmosphere. Although the service can be spotty, it's worth the...
Read moreSo, we decided to take a ride to Farmington today (from Pagosa Springs, CO) & have lunch for Mother's Day. I was craving Mexican food and researched the best-rated and based on the reviews, chose Si Senor. There was a short wait, being Mother's Day, which was expected. I had a chance to use the bathroom and was impressed with its cleanliness and decor. Things went quickly downhill from there. We were given a table in the back by the drink machines, but then saw there was a patio with several open tables. The older woman who was our waitress said it was no problem to sit outside and she invited us to sit wherever we liked out there. What she didn't tell us & we didn't put together until we had left, was that it wasn't her section and she basically stole the other waitresses table & then proceeded to neglect us for the rest of the time. Our food came out lukewarm and lacking in flavor. Also was pretty surprised when I ordered a margarita & was told they don't put tequila in their margaritas. They only make them with wine. That was disappointing. And each time our server forgot something or we asked for something (like more salsa) it took 10-15 minutes before she came back. After waiting & waiting for her to return, we finally got up from our table to request our check. All the other tables that were seated after us had already come & gone and we were still sitting there waiting. Even when we went in to get the check, she offered little apology and proceeded to charge us for an $8 appetizer we never ordered. She did adjust the bill accordingly. My husband was still nice enough to leave her a standard tip as it was Mother's Day, but our overall experience was so negative that we definitely will not...
