A Delightful Evening at Taques Bar and Grill After hearing so many rave reviews about Taques Mexican Restaurant in Downtown Farmington, I finally decided to check it out—and I’m happy I did! I made a reservation online, which turned out to be smart because the place was packed on a Friday night. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance and decor were captivating—fun, vibrant, and beautifully designed. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between lively and intimate, with the music set low enough to easily converse and enjoy each other’s company. The menu was full of tempting options, and the drinks? Absolutely perfect. We shared a pitcher of the house margarita, which was flavorful, refreshing, and perfectly balanced—not too sweet or tart. Our waitress was a gem—kind, attentive, and happy to answer our questions about the menu. My bonus mom and I decided to split the chicken street tacos, which were delicious and the perfect portion for sharing. The tacos were packed with flavor and beautifully presented. My husband opted for what he called a “monster burrito,” and he devoured every last bite, declaring it a solid 8.5/10 (he travels to Mexico for work and is spoiled). Overall, Taques is a fantastic spot, whether you’re planning a girls' night out or a cozy date night. The food, drinks, and service exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to return. Highly...

Every dish that I had here so far was great. Also great service. Upgrading from 4 to 5 stars today - service has greatly improved. Went here for lunch for the second time. The MOLCAJETE Mexican specialty dish was excellent. What could be improved is the service. I was the only one there before 2 other guests arrived. I had to ask for water, did not get a refill, and the side dish that was on the menu did not arrive until I asked. The music is a bit too loud for my taste. Very nice ambiance in this new restaurant. Nice background music that is not overpowering. The quesadilla with birria, the salsa and the house chardonnay were...

Great food, such a fun atmosphere, and very polite, friendly service. We were in the area around 4pm, so not that hungry but really wanted to try this place. They brought chips and salsa right away and even my picky third grader loved the chips and the salsa. Mom & Dad split the tampiqueñas, which was a lot of food, all good and fresh and well-prepared. Also a margarita each, yum. Got a kids taco and a kids quesadilla, both of which were good too. LOVE the decor! Our waitress was nice. Some people might give attitude for not ordering more, but our waitress still treated us well (it was also an off-peak time so it's not like we took up a table that might otherwise have ordered more food). If we are back in the area, I would definitely go back! Also, we sat inside, but note that the outdoor patio was shaded if you want to enjoy it. Highly recommend this lovely spot with fresh food and great service in a unique and...

Came here for the first time today and was amazed by the quality and appearance of the food. My group and I wanted to try a little bit of everything and everything was tasty and amazing. Portions were perfect. It certainly is the best quality Mexican food I have had in a long time and can’t wait to come back. Not only was the food yummy, but the service was excellent. Our server was attentive and friends and the food came out quickly. I highly recommend the tacos dorados to try as an appetizer first and the chipotle sauce for the esquites was so good that I had to order extra! Overall, I definitely recommend coming here. It’s family friendly as well as a great place to go for a nice date night. The ambience is great and I absolutely love the decor. Super happy there’s a new place in town to hangout and get great food!

Fantastic dinner here! Cute New Mexican place at the back of a strip mall; a hidden gem. Wonderful playful hip atmosphere. Smaller dining area, with large bar and cool patio. Host/owner was warm and welcoming. Complimentary chips and salsa (yummy) Prompt attentive service! Limited bar menu for now but white sangria was delicious. Three entrees were all spectacular! Very fresh. Interesting flavors and textures. Not spicy which is nice (you can always add your own heat) The enchiladas were spot on. Taquitos crunchy and crispy; green sauce was outstanding. Excellent potions and most come w beans/rice. Not expensive especially for the quality. Really a wonderful experience. 5 worthy stars!
