After deciding to try a new restaurant for my crab bags I ended up here last Thursday. The restaurant was very clean and quiet. I walked in to pick up my order and there were only three people seated. Two in a booth and one man at the bar. I wasn't greeted when I walked in and I stood there at the takeout counter for about five minutes before a gentleman came out to ask me about my order. The female bartender didn't even acknowledge me, instead she decided to entertain the guy at the bar. My food was ready when I arrived and I didn't have to wait even longer which I appreciate. I ordered two bags, one with broccoli, both with sausage, and one with extra potatoes. I was very disappointed about the meal I received and the best thing about the bag was the broccoli I added. My bag was supposed to have all 3 seasonings, but it was very bland. It didn't look like any cajun seasoning was added at all. It felt like they maybe forgot to add all the seasonings or were very stingy about it. The shrimp wasn't tender at all and it felt overcooked. My crab legs were cold after pulling them out of the shells and had no flavor. I added 1/2 pound of sausage to both bags but only received about 5 slices in one bag. The only thing that made this meal almost enjoyable was the sauce that I bought from The Crazy Crab on telegraph after I picked this order up. I spoke to someone about the missing sausage and he stated he would credit me the $12 next visit, which probably won't happen because I don't want to waste anymore money. I spent $145 on two bags and an extra cluster that was totally a waste of time. I honestly threw most of it away and I'll be sticking with The Crazy Crab from now on....
Read moreService was ridiculously slow. Everything was awful start to finish. We waited in line and were told we had to order and pay before being seated (that was incorrect.) After waiting 15 minutes behind people placing orders we were finally seated. Staff argued over who would wait our table in front of us. It took a half hour to receive our very underwhelming seafood boils. This was by far the worst boil I've ever had. Flavor was off I'm pretty sure it wasn't a full pound of shrimp. I ordered extra potatoes twice wondering why we didn't have enough food compared to other places we've ordered the same. Apparently they consider "potatoes" cutting a single potato in half lol what a joke this place is overpriced and stingy. Terrible service. They were hosting a party while we were here so every worker was sent to work on that while ignoring the regular customers who were just dining in. I waited a half hour after ordering a side of "potatoes" only for it to get to my table and I see it's just one potato cut in half and the excuse was "we are hosting a big party" I don't give a damn about a party when I'm paying too. If you do not have the staff to handle both a party and regular customers SHUT DOWN AND ONLY DO THE PARTY. Not only did I have a hair in my food I had to keep asking for my stuff and even boxes multiple times. I almost walked out. I will not be back and I regret coming here over any other place I've been to before.
One potato cut in half and baby corn is what comes with the boil. Do yourself a favor and go to a real seafood place. Not this dump. Ruined my...
Read moreIf you like your seafood overcooked you will like this place. Shrimp and crawfish so bad, chewy and rubbery only ate 2 of each me and my friend both agreed. The service was pretty bad but I didn't really care because I was just hoping for the food to compensate, honestly this place has to be money laundering or something because it's a Friday night and only 3 tables (including ours) was filled. Ended up only being able to eat the snow crab which was stringy and overcooked but at least edible. Veggies were good, can't complain on their flavor but paying 89$ for two potato's and one cob of corn and some snow crab is nuts because the crawfish and shrimp is inedible. Eating here I would compare to playing the lottery. High risk- low reward. They don't do refunds, even if you don't finish the food at all. The owner only gave us a 4.80$ discount. I've gotten better service from Coney Islands in downtown Detroit. I can't even mention the calamari imagine fish sticks with a slight squid flavor. They were literally shaped like fish sticks. Overall I look forward to Friday dinner with my friend and this ruined our week. We left hungry and are going to head to another restaurant so we can fill...
