I don’t ever write reviews but this experience was enough to make me not ever want to support this brand ever again. I have been a 7 Brew supporter ever since they opened their location in spring lake. Going almost every day I have grown accustom to how my drink is supposed to taste and the experience I am used to. I have tried to go to the location on Bragg Blvd but after going twice they just could’t seem to get my order correct. I still think that the service there and the service at the Spring lake location has been above and beyond what Fayetteville is used to and I applaud them for it.
I got excited because earlier this year I found out about the newer location on Raeford Rd, and was very excited because that location is going in the direction of my work. The first couple of visits were amazing and I genuinely believe that I was gonna become a regular there.
Earlier this week I came to this location and noticed that the employees were just standing outside even when there were no cars in the drive through looking absolutely miserable in this heat. When I pulled up a shorter young woman came up to my window and said “what do you want?” I was taken back because I usually am greeted with a smile and happiness when I come to 7 Brew but that definitely wasn’t the case that day. I still took it with a grain of salt and proceeded with my order. Once I completed my order and paid, the girl walked away and went back to standing next to the building. I pulled up to the window and was greeted with yet another employee looking equally as miserable. While waiting for my drink I asked “Is everything okay you guys don’t look too good today” he looked at me as if I asked him if he wanted $1,000 and without hesitation laid it out on me. He told me that their manager is now requiring them to stand out in the heat and they are not allowed to go back inside unless it is to use the bathroom or get water, and when they want to “cool down” they can step into a cooler but they have to come right back out. I asked him if there was any reason for it and he said “It’s supposed to make us look better like were less busy” and I don’t know about you but I would much rather be greeted with smiling faces than hot and sweaty employees that look like they want to be anywhere else but there.
After that experience I decided to take a couple days and just drive by on my way to work in the afternoons and just see if they still had people standing outside. Today was the final straw, with the heat index today it was almost 100 degrees and just as you would’ve guessed I drove past this afternoon and there was a young man and lady standing out in the sun while there were no cars outside. My second time here today. The first time I came, the customer service was excellent, so much so that I left a review on the app. I’ve worked in customer service for a long time, so I give credit where it’s due. Today was very different.
I pulled up into the drive thru line (again, only my second visit - about 6:30ish am). It was me and one other car. I pulled in to the first lane and the other car was getting their order taken in the second lane. Sat there for a minute or two, and then a third car pulled up into the second lane and started getting their order taken.
SINCE this is only my second time here, I wasn’t sure if I was in the right line, so VERY POLITELY, asked another girl walking back into the drive thru door (a young girl, white, brown hair - I was told her name was Courtney), if I was in the right line. Barely being able to finish my sentence, she looked highly annoyed and informed me “there’s only three of us here,” to which I attempted to reply “Oh, no I just didn’t know if I was in the right line and needed to pull around.” She barely listened to that response either, as she walked inside while I was speaking.
Again, since I work in customer service and more specifically, as a server, I understand patience and how things can get. So I’m very mindful of how I approach and talk to other people, especially in the food industry. There was one other car besides me. And then a couple minutes later, a third, so again, it was NOT busy. At all. And I asked a simple question because I didn’t know… and I was met with Courtney being very rude to me. I had very good things to say about this place when I first went, because I was impressed by how sweet everyone was.
I suppose Courtney was having a bad day. But please be mindful not to take it out on your customers who come to support your business. Feel...
Read moreQuickly becoming my favorite place to get a treat when I have enough spare cash! Compared to other places, the prices don't feel as bad considering how big their sizes are. Most places, I get a large, but I've started getting mediums here.
I'm not big on coffee, but I really like mochas (specifically iced white chocolate). I usually have to ask for an extra shot of espresso to balance the sweetness though, but their unmodified mochas are a great balance if you don't want yours too sweet!
Mostly, I get their smoothies. I've had a hard time finding the perfect place to get a smoothie and now this place is it for me. They're actually smooth without being like a fruit milkshake and they don't start getting clumpy and hard to drink as you get close to finishing it. I don't know how they make them, but they also aren't too sweet and don't taste super artificial in the way fruit flavors can. It's honestly the best smoothie I've ever had (not that I'm an aficionado or anything).
Generally when I go there, the workers are really nice and efficient. I don't often have to wait to get my order, so I can get through quickly and the workers are usually really nice to deal with in those brief exchanges. I had a good little back and forth with someone today, I think her name is Sarah (I'm horrible with names - sorry!). It's always nice to be able to get on with my day (because I'm between classes right now) but also not feel rushed or like someone is being rude to me.
