Caribbean Grill — Restaurant in Fayetteville

My friends and I were really excited about trying this Trini vendor at the Caribbean festival this weekend. They had one of our favorite dishes, which was doubles. not sure if this was their first time here, but they were very unorganized the person managing the doubles in a roti was very slow and unorganized they were heating up food in the microwave. Unfortunately our jerk chicken was not cooked through. It was still red. The chef did change our meat but by then it probsbly was too late since we started eating it on them line while we waiting for the rest of our order to come. Some people couldn't wait and asked for their money back. We still wanted to support so we waited over 20 minutes for the rest of our order. When we finally got our food, we tried the doubles, and it wasn't the best, it wasn't fully cooked and it didn't taste as good or fresh as we are used to. Early this morning I had the run all night along with my friend. We got food poisoning for sure. The doubles gave us diarrhea. I wasn't sure if it was the dish until I asked a few other friends who ate the same meal and it also messed them up. We knew for sure it was the doubles and possibly the uncooked chicken. I know I can't get my money back since I use cash but they need to do better. This was very unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant I would never try the food again. They need better organization and structure on who will be making certain dishes or coordinating things. food was left out and looked dry. It Wasn't appetizing. I hope they read this message...

Went there when no customers were inside the restaurant. Food took about 10 minutes to come out. Upon receiving food, the portions were much smaller than anticipated for the size of the food container. Actual price: $22.89 (tax included) Food was cold, seems to be microwaved for a-bit. Cabbage was so salty, it was inedible. Ripe plantains weren’t ripe enough so they were not sweet. Curry goat was okay (that’s being generous) Rice and peas was mediocre.

Overall, this was a horrible experience. There is a reason this establishment was empty when I got there. Their food is horrible and their service is just as bad.

Felt like getting Jamaican food for dinner tonight so I put in an order for delivery and was extremely disappointed when my oxtail and rice and peas came. As you can see the rice was full of oil and impossible to eat because of how greasy it was. I don’t know who thought it would have been okay to fill someone’s food with so much grease. Very disappointed. As for the oxtail as a Jamaican I’m not even sure why the oxtail tasted sweet and bitter and the same time. I don’t think I’ll try this place again. Like I said very disappointed.
