Mama Lupe Mexican Food — Restaurant in Fayetteville

So the hubby and I went to Mama Lupe today for lunch. Right when you come in you are greeted. You sit down get a menu and chips and salsa. Both were great by the way, but don't eat too many otherwise, you'll get full before the food comes out haha. They have a lot of food options on their menu. They definitely have something for everyone.

Any way, the food was so flavorful and fresh. Great portion size. You definitely get your monies worth. The atmosphere made you feel as if you were at home. Staff is very nice. Thry are currently hiring!

I'm Puerto Rican we love to try different foods from all over. The flavors are a bit different, but hit the spot for sure. We were an awe of how great the food was. Prices are between $10-$20.

Ordered the birria tacos and they were delicious. Would absolutely order those again. Came back another time and ordered fajitas and they were just okay. The steak slices were overdone, chicken slices were perfect, and shrimp pieces were a bit underdone. Each meat needed to be treated a bit differently to make it taste better tbh. Ordered churros and they were perfect. Very warm and fresh, much better than some stale donut from a coffee shop. My husband had a burrito and he said it was alright, but much preferred the birria tacos as well. The rice and beans are seasoned very well. Usually when I get the side of rice & beans it’s bland, but the ones here are perfect.

update Came here 3 days after to give Mama Lupe's restaurant another chance and to my surprise, the service went well. The tacos I ordered were pleasantly tasty and I'm satisfied with it. Host was very sweet and polite.

03/27/2025 Came here at the specific time 11am when their hours said that they opened. The business wasn't open at all. Came back an hour later to find out it's still not open. They had a group of people waiting outside their front doors wanting to eat there. They gave up and went next door to Sakura.
