Update: We were encouraged to give Miller's Ale in Fayetteville a second chance to make a first impression.
The service and atmosphere remain at a solid 5 stars!
Fortunately, our second meal resulted in a very much improved experience. We ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta entree, the 35 Fried Shrimp entree, and the signature mac and cheese.
The food was extremely delicious and enjoyable with excellent portion sizes! The mac and cheese was the best I have ever tasted. It was clear this dish was freshly prepared. The Cajun chicken pasta was the perfect amount of spicy and flavorful at the same time. The shrimp has consistently been awesome, and fried perfectly.
We are so happy that we gave Miller's Ale another try, because we will certainly return.
This past Saturday night we went to Miller Ale's here in Fayetteville. I had anxiously waited for this new restaurant to open and was very excited to have a new place to eat.
I can wholeheartedly give 5 stars to the wonderful hostess that greeted and seated us. She was very friendly, and so gracious and welcoming. I would also give 5 stars to our server, Brittany. She was very attentive, energetic and really made us feel well taken care of.
The atmosphere at Miller's Ale was incredible! It was so lively, and fun and with so many television screens around the restaurant, it kept us very entertained.
Of course, a major part of going to a restaurant is the food. This is where Miller's Ale was shockingly disappointing.
I will say that the shrimp we had as an add-on food item was great. In fact, we loved that there were items that we could add-on to our entrees.
For the entrees, first we ordered the Tex-Mex chicken nachos appetizer. The picture on the menu made this seem to be an excellent choice and plus Brittany recommended it. However, when the nachos arrived, they did not live up to the picture. There was noticeably a lot less meat on our nachos and the meat that was on the nachos, was very dry and hard.
My husband ordered the mahi-mahi sandwich with fries and a side of coleslaw. I had never seen coleslaw come with a huge piece of lettuce. The coleslaw unfortunately lacked flavor and was not very appetizing.
For me, after looking at not only the picture on the menu, but also the picture on the reviews, I ordered the philly cheese steak with fries. Regrettably, the philly steak also had meat that was extremely dry and hard. I did not enjoy this sandwich at all.
I'm not sure if the meat was being overcooked the night we were at Miller's Ale, but it certainly added disappointment to our overall experience.
I was hoping Miller's Ale would become our new favorite restaurant in Fayetteville, especially with their accommodating late open hours which is something that we very much need in this area.
However, it's hard to change or forget a first impression. If only their food could match the awesome atmosphere and service, Miller's Ale would be a unanimous...
Read moreAs I always do, it was time to try somewhere new for date night and the winner was Miller’s Ale House in Fayetteville. As I have driven past the location numerous times, I was excited to finally be trying it.
Miller’s Ale House has ample parking and displays beautiful curb appeal. Sitting right on the main road, the location is easy to find and starts the customer experience from the moment you turn into the parking lot. The power of presentation and how it relates to happiness is undeniable.
Walking in, the hostess was deeply engrossed in scrolling social media on her phone while at the hostess stand. She was so engrossed that I stood there to see if she would acknowledge me to no avail. It wasn’t until I cleared my throat that she looked up from her phone. To add insult to injury, she looked up from her phone, looked at me, looked back to her phone, closed out her app, put her phone in her pocket THEN she addressed me with “how many!” No welcome. No hello. Nothing.
Though her service was far below acceptable, the ambiance of the restaurant drew me in and I decided to stay.
Moving past that detractor experience, I decided to sit at the bar as a table was a 20 minute wait. The bar area continues the upbeat and vibrant ambiance as it sits off in its own world to the right of the entrance. Also, the exterior was offered a view of the patio which displayed the well maintained curb appeal and patio area.
The bartender greeted us with a huge smile and welcomed us into Miller’s Ale House. She understood the importance of customer service. She provided us with menus, took our drink order, and allowed us time to review the menu.
Providing a variation of items, the Miller’s Ale House menu presents an American fare then with a few added attractions. LoL. There’s something for everyone.
After going back and forth between sirloin or salmon, I decided on:
Appetizer: Mozzarella Sticks.
Main Dish: Atlantic Salmon 8-ounce filet, blackened with the veggie medley and mashed potatoes w/ gravy.
The food was an absolute 10 out of 10.
The Mozzarella sticks were crunchy on the outside and ooey gooey on the inside with an abundance of cheese. The cheese was melted all the way through and when biting into them, you got the cheese string stretch that comes with a perfectly cooked stick. Loved them.
The Salmon was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. It was tender and moist and melted on my tongue. The blackened seasoning paired well with the mashed potatoes, which acted as the perfect side. The mashed potatoes held its ground as its own dish, but it didn’t overshadow the salmon. The veggie medley was fresh, light, and had minimal seasoning to allow for the natural flavor of each veggie to have a moment of taste but pleasing.
Even with the horrible hostess experience, the service provided by the bartender turned my entire night around. Paired with the good food and enjoyable ambiance, I am...
Read moreEdit: my family and I went back today and I have to admit we really enjoyed ourselves! Cyerra was our waitress tonight and from our initial greet, we knew we were in for a fantastic time!!! She was knowledgeable of the menu(even made a few suggestion of her own) and most importantly was genuine, and efficient! We started out with the calamari(definitely tasty) and the potstickers. The calamari were breaded with a tempura batter I believe(paired with a sweet chili sauce). The potstickers were huge(my mom and sister enjoyed them). I had the Cajun pasta… my mom and husband had the Osso buca and my sister had the zingers… needless to say we all left happy and full!! Cyerra thank you for taking care of me and my family! Sadie(The GM), thank you for correcting a mistake and making sure my family felt welcome in your establishment!
The service here is horrible! Jordan the supervisor very unprofessional! We arrived at this location at 8:26pm and was seated immediately. By 8:36 we were still waiting on our waitress. Around 8:45 a manager by the name of Tiara was passing by, so I stopped her and asked if she knew when our server would be by. As she glances over to her left she looks at a server and says; she’s with her other table and will be with you shortly. Tiara walks to the host stand and immediately turns around head back towards our way… I stop her again and ask her “why wouldn’t the server who is standing next to us at the very least say; give me a moment and I’ll be right with you.” Tiara states to me you are right! Can I get you all something to start off with to drink. My mother stated “we can wait on the waitress, my son(I’m the son) just passionate about this industry… he works in this industry” it’s now about 8:48pm and our server finally appears and ask “can I get you all started with anything to drink?” Without stating her name… we all order our drinks and an appetizer… it’s now 9:05 and both drinks from the bar hasn't made it to the table. As their supervisor Jordan walk by I ask him “do he know how long our drinks will be” before he could answer my mom asked him “what is wrong with our server?” He states “she’s very passionate about her job” I stated “I can’t tell because she is horrible, we have been waiting for over 40 minutes for our 2 drinks and our appetizer.” This grown man rolls his eyes and walks off as if we are the problem. At this point we are irritated and decides to leave!! We ask for their GM card and had to wait 5 minutes before anyone brought the info. Now I could understand if they were busy or even if they tried to correct the mistakes that were being made but these people were anything but accommodating or hospitable! I swear I have never written a bad review about a dinning experience but this was the absolute worst. I refuse to spend money at a place where I’m not welcome! I will be reaching...
