Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Fayetteville

My husband and I r retired and moved to Fayetteville 5/23/25. As retirees eating supper out is highlight of the day. We have enjoyed many of the restaurants in Fayetteville extremely well. We ate at this Olive Garden a few weeks ago and told the waitress we were new to the area and she went out of her way to make it an enjoyable experience. We’ve eaten OG many times in Monroe, Ga but this was the best. We went tonight for date night and there were hardly any patrons in there. We arrived about 4/20-25. As soon as we sat down the waitress very pleasantly took our drink order. Before we had time to open menus she was back to take order. We said give us a few minutes please. Literally 3 minutes later she was back for our order. I wasn’t ready but we just went ahead and ordered. Within TWO minutes she was back with our endless soup for him and salad for me. We said blessing and began to eat. By the time I got dressing on my salad and he had literally three bites of soup we looked up and she was standing there with our entrees!!!! We both looked at each other and he said I’m sorry but I haven’t eaten hardly any of my soup and I had eaten 3/4 bites of salad. I said we’d really like to eat what we r eating first!! She said “well I can take it back and put it under the heat lamp???” Again we looked at each other and said well pasta for me and his chicken parm wouldn’t be very good after that!! So we told her to just leave it. I enjoy the salad as much as the meal so was really disappointed but didn’t want pasta to get cold….. so we pushed our apps aside and ate. I must say it ruined the meal and our “date” to be so rushed in an empty restaurant!! Thankful we didn’t get a regular app!!!!! Again we got there and 40 minutes later we were home!!!!! The meal was over $60 and we don’t mind but at least let us enjoy it!! Is this done to keep you from taking advantage of “endless soup and salad?? If so it worked!!!! IF we ever go back we will not order til we have eaten soup and salad but wait……they won’t let you!!!!!! $60 for seniors is a lot to be so disappointed and rushed out for no reason. And to ice the cake the cheesey Italian music was wayyyy too loud!! I don’t know if it was the server, the chef, management or all the above but this was just wrong. If we wanted fast food we would have gone to...

This is probably the worst location I have gone to try and enjoy a meal. We first had to wait to be seated, which was understandable. However, the place wasn't busy. They just had dirty tables ALL over the place. I don't know 7thwhat was going on that night, but what happened to servers helping with pre-bussing your own table as you waited on them? When we did finally get sat, we got a server who had 1 other table besides us who was already eating their main course. They were celebrating a bday. Which was okay, I thought. Little did I know it would take all our time from our visit. She got our drink order/food at the same time, and we waited for 10 mins. Then comes out our drinks. I am hoping and praying she was just preparing out bread/salad/soup at the same time. No such luck... we had to wait for that as well another 15 mins at least. By this time, they had bought out my salad and soup for my fiance. I tried to get servers' attention. She didn't bring me a plate for my salad. I had to use the bread plate since she never returned. The salad had onion in it. I am ALLERGIC to so had to spit it out into my napkin. Said okay, well done with this. I piled up the stuff in the salad bowl. When the server did come with the food. I told her about the salad, and she said I told them no onions. Well, she never said I can get you another one, or do you want another one. I even asked for another napkin since I had to use it to spit up in. She said okay. I even paged her using the table machine, which she had flipped in our direction. Never did she return, walked to the host stand... had to get my own napkin set...completely ignored up there as well When our main dish came out it was not hot but at this point I was hungry and tried to just eat it. She had explained it would be more since I had added crispy chicken to my pasta. No what they gave me was dried out chicken. However, again no server to get ahold of nor manager. The staff there is completely laid back, don't know how they stay open.

Filled out the survey and asked for them to contact me and still to this day haven't heard from anyone. Go figure.

I would definitely not bother going to this location...

The WORIST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE IN THE ENTIRE fayetteville area in the HISTORY!!!! Of living on this side Last night about 9:40 or so I came in super excited and ready to eat with no tables available for 20 minutes we decided to sit at the bar was not crowded at all so on a Saturday night I don’t know why there was a wait I should have known by then my expectations should have been low and I seen about 4 waiters just chatting at the host stand moving forward went to the bar ! FROM THERE service was heart breaking and unbelievable for such a well know place , as we sat there for over 20 minutes waiting for service a very nasty mean short temper bar employee black women curly Afro medium warm color brown hair with glasses with gray roots in her about late 40’s just look at us and kept closing out I guess waiting for us to just leave my guess . She never asked if we would like a water or even gave us a menu after 20 minutes I got up asked for a manager a nice older black guy came up I told him everything he said he would handle it about 10 minutes later of sitting back at the bar the bar employee came with a menu ask what we want no bread nothing so I proceeded to place my order I was so hungry after telling her I didn’t want the soup or salad she said “ it COMES WITH it BUT IM NOT GOING TO FORCE YOU TO GET ANYTHING BECAUSE IM READY TO GO ANYWAY “ after that I had , HAD It enough was enough as we got up to walk out she went to the other waiting customer saying “ they told on me already so I don’t care !….i went back to ask for a manager his name was Leo or Leon or something older black man which I told him everything and then left ! …I will lead with this I HAVE BEEN THERE BEFORE NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I BEEN SO brushed off ! By Disgusting behavior and disrespected clearly it was the worst experience by far if I could give a ZERO FOR service and atmosphere I would please if you see HER JUST RUN PLEASE HER NAME WAS marvel or Marla or something with a M WORST WORST WORST EXPERIENCE SAd Because I love olive Garden!!!
