If you don't get out to eat much to compare restaurants, you will think this is great. If you eat out all the time, and are an Asian food connoisseur, the food here is subpar. This place serves Americanized Asian meals....not authentic, neither in the noodles (Ramein style/cardboard flavored) nor flavor (vinegary flavored also). I saw other people's bowls and noodles seemed to be the same. I had the Korean spicy beef noodle. The meal after taxes around ten bucks. Yes, it was spicy(not too bad) but the meat, there is more meat on a McDonalds hamburger. Plus, the meat did not look like beef, it had the color of pork. I have had cooked calf (veal) before (which is the color of pork chops when cooked) and that was the color of the beef so maybe they were using veal, I don't know, but the Hibachi Grill, Asian Express, Thai Pepper (now called Thai Lanna), Panda Express, all their beef looks like beef and tastes like beef and are brown and TENDER, but this meat in the Korean spicy noodles bowl was NOT brown, did NOT taste like beef, had a few pieces of meat (don't care if it was full of that meat, it would not have saved it), chewy, stuck together like it was lumped with other pieces of meat and were not separated into other pieces, had to do it myself....um, why? Thai Lanna (Thai Pepper) on Bragg Boulevard lunch buffet is only $8.95 and the Friday dinner buffet is $11.95 and you can eat as much beef, chicken, shrimp as you want. And, hold onto your britches...it is real authentic Thai food, not Americanized. The food at Noodles Company I give a 3 out of 10, not as bad as school food which would be a 0 or 1, but if you had to choose between school cafeteria food and this place, you will have to toss a quarter. As for me, no, NO, Nooooo, I will never come here again. Americanized Chinese food is a no. Americanized Thai food is a no. Seek out the real non Americanized restaurants and you will see what you have been missing...AND...will never go back to....whatever...
Read moreI thought I was going to see a Asian spin on ramen noodles and this place is not exactly that. It seems more like a hybrid of a Panera and myobi jr. The meal I decided to go with was zucchini truffle Mac and cheese. Main meal was about $5.75 and the drink was almost half of that at $2.25.
This was my first time here and the staff must have known and immediately asked if I needed assistance. Though they where not as helpful as I would have liked the effort was made.
The food came out very quickly, so quickly that by the time I returned to the table from the drink fountain the server was apologizing for not being able to find me faster.
So with all these good things to say I bet you are wondering why I gave it 4 stars. Well it’s the price of the meal compared to the portion of food I received.
Now I am not a versed to paying higher than expected prices for food however this was a bit...
Read moreNot expected as I am… We ordered Spicy Korean Beef Noodle, Alfredo Montamore, Kid's Spaghetti & Meatball and 6pc Cheesy Garlic Bread… All the dishes taste common, not that impressive… I believe someone will say they tasteless, but it's okay for me, maybe that's just what they say "FRESH" (maybe also healthier?) But as an Asian I have to say, about the spicy Korean beef noodle… for the noodle, I can have much better one in any Asian grocery, even it's just instant noodles… for the beef, they gave me only three little pieces of beef, yes, only three pieces… "Maybe" I'll try again in other day, wish I can have a different experience, I mean, a better one… BTW, the environment is dirty, the staff clean up only on table but not their floor, so the floor got plenty of ice cubes, napkins, foods and something else… and the cloth that they use to wipe tables is oily, so we need to wipe again...
