I have to agree with Dyami! Unfortunately, it is a truly is an unpleasant experience. The front desk is disgusting! The equipment looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages, with visible grime and stains covering most surfaces. The bathrooms were appalling, with overflowing trash bins and unmentionable messes. The overall hygiene was subpar, making it difficult to focus on my workout. The locker rooms smell like sweat, poop, and weed. On the gym floor patrons are having to consistently look for dumbbells because the racks are left empty. There is an abundance of broken equipment malfunctioning in some way. From treadmills with non-functioning displays, holes in the wall that haven’t been patched for almost a year, to weight machines with missing parts, it is clear that maintenance is not a priority. Paper towel holders missing all over the gym. Despite the promise of a well-equipped gym, the reality is disappointing. I hope management (if you need them they are playing on their phones in the office) addresses these issues promptly to ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for everyone. Also the basketball court needs shut down. Premium apparently means no one checks to see who goes into play. Groups of people walk in by the front desk and don’t even scan in. The machine to access the gym is rarely used. There have been at least 2 if not 3 shootings on the parking lot over a dumb basketball game. The gym does have some positives. $10 a month membership, plenty of machines etc. just wish the other issues would be addressed.
Update: as of April 2, 2024 the sauna has been broken for 3 weeks. The air dryer in the locker room needs a “for display purposes only sticker.” Broke for almost a year. Cable machine is broke. Elliptical with no sign on it has been broken for months.
UPDATE April 16, 2024: The sauna has been fixed. It was broken by someone putting water on the electric heater. Buckets with paper towels and sanitizer have now been place by some of the poles. There are still issues with customers leaving weights and trash everywhere but what do you expect from Fayetteville? Overall, the gym is good place to work out in. Still waiting for the next fight or shooting on the parking lot over a...
Read moreWent there to use a five day pass, free pass to check out the gym. Brought my son with me so he could use the basketball courts. I wanted to get a membership solely for that and the saunas bc the ones on post are always broken and I have chronic pain in my cervical spine. Anyways, was told well since my son wanted to use the basketball court the salesman was not able to sign us up on a five day free pass but instead we’d have to sign up as a member and would be free to us at no cost because they were running a Mother’s Day special and the only cost that we’d would have to pay is the cost after the five days if we decide to keep the membership if we don’t cancel by said date. I canceled by said date, and then was also told at the counter while I was canceling the membership that I had to pay $21 and some change per membership, for me and also for my son. At the time, the sales person never told me that I had to pay to cancel the membership all he said was if you do not want to keep the membership just cancel by this day. My 17 year old son even heard him say all this. I paid $42 and change to cancel basically a “5-day pass” and was told the charge per person was a sign up fee!!!! THE CHARGE I WAS PAYING WAS A SIGN UP FEE. AND IF I DIDNT PAY MY “membership” would continue. I would’ve never signed up if there was a sign up fee for something that I came to use for free for five days. That is what was being marketed on the website! And if it was a sign up fee why am I paying after the fact?!!!! HELLO! I will never ever use this gym in future and I will tell all my friends to stay away. Not only was the sauna disgusting and dirty, where you would lean back on the wall and put your head was drenched in caked sweat marks, but people were in there talking on their cell phones for over 30 minutes. It’s literally an unspoken rule that you shut up and use the sauna as a place for a piece of meditation. The treadmills aren’t even equipped with a speed adjustment pad. The turf they advertise is crap, ppl do their walking lunges in the middle of the gym. The coaches are going to hurt someone. The salespeople are terrible, wouldn’t even let us step foot past the counter to check out the facility before “signing up” Ridiculous...
Read moreThere’s always a reason I can’t get my workout done here. Last week they couldn’t even open the doors to let people in a solid 30-60 min after opening time. Someone is always yapping in theater room so loud I can hear them over headphones and a movie. There’s no hand sanitizer. Of the four sinks in the ladies locker room one is broken and leaks all over the floor and has done so for 3 months and 2 of the soap dispensers are broken. Sometimes the parking lot is so full you can’t even find a place to park good luck on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It’s so crowded people are on top of each other consistently. The cycling classes are not fun and the instructors don’t teach you how to use the bikes properly and half of them are broken. A male instructor came into the ladies area loudly trying to get them to his class and then once you were in the class proceeded to tell us it’s an increased fee once you get to the class. I’ve had multiple situations where a man has disrespected me or treated me poorly. A man tried picking me up once when I was struggling to reach the pull up bar and then told me he wanted to talk to me but I always look pissed off - which you have to put on a face to keep men from harassing you at the gym. Had a man tell me to get out of his way when I was using the landmine - it wasn’t a question of how many sets left it was “I’m going to use this space, move.” Final straw - one of the only two loose benches in the gym was taken by some guy who was using it in a way he could’ve used one of the ATTACHED benches to the cable machine. And really just sat on it for 20 minutes and wouldn’t tell me how much longer he was going to use it. I feel the expectation for women is to stay in the women’s section - but the free weights cap out around 40-45 lbs and the equipment in this area is very limited. Not to mention its a pretty popular section - I’ve never seen the smith machine or barbell free in 3 months. The inconsiderate behaviors of other members and the general uncleanliness and lack of care of staff has been consistently a waste of my time and money. Don’t let it be a waste of you’re if you’re serious about the gym - especially if...
