This was the first restaurant that my wife and I went to upon arriving in Fayetteville. Our first visit the food was good, the service was decent and the prices were reasonable considering that it is Hibachi. Several months later we returned for my wife's birthday with a few friends. It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was very busy. Instead of waiting for a grill to open up we chose to sit at one of the tables in order to have some privacy and in order to get our food somewhat quicker as apposed to waiting for room at a table to open up. We waited 2 AND A HALF HOURS for our food! I asked for the manager after about an hour and talked with her. She told me "Your food will be right out please be patient." Being understanding and noticing how busy they were I took it at face value and sat back down. 30 minutes later I asked for the manager again and ended up having to confront her that my table still did not have any of our food. She said she would take one of the meals off of my ticket and that she would make sure that the food was out soon. 30 minutes later I brought it up again and at this point the manager started to get irritated with me and said "I have already agreed to take one of your meals off of your ticket what more do you want me to do?" In the end we got some of our food 2 hours and 30 minutes after we ordered it.
I ordered the Steak with no vegetables other than onion. The plate I received was quite literally HALF A PLATE of onions and half a plate of steak with a small bowl of noodles on the side. Several other orders at our table were wrong. The food came out at all different times. The waitress was not capable of refilling drinks, or even getting the items that my table requested after our food arrived. In the end myself my wife and our friends ended up getting to go boxes and leaving. We will not be returning EVER. If you are looking for good Hibachi then i would suggest that you dont bother looking in the Fayetteville area. ALL are well below par. Go to Carry or Raleigh...
Read moreI understand restaurants have bad nights, but our experience tonight was unacceptable. They were short a chef which is understandable, but staff needs to be more communicative and truthful about wait times. So first we were told it's be a 20 minute wait and we weren't seated until 45 minutes. It was several more minutes until anyone came for drinks and brought soup. It was well over an hour and still didn't have salads and our drinks were empty. Meanwhile, one of the managers just stood at the top of the dining room watching tables sit there with empty cups and not checking on tables that no one have checked on for a while. We had already complained about the wait times and no one coming to check on us. While we were sitting there, our table had been spouting some smoke that progressively got worse. As it got worse, we alerted the server and we looked under the table and there was a fire under the table. Our entire party got up to go outside because there was A FIRE under the propane fuled table. On our way out we alerted staff and other customers there was a fire and a server stopped us saying we needed to stay and pay for our drinks. We were getting outside for our safety and the entire staff should have been ushering customers outside away from the fire instead of worrying about payments. While we tried to quickly get a server to take a card to pay for our drinks so we can leave, the server comes back to let us know that the manager said we could leave without paying for drinks. There was no manager apologies or even one to come talk to us, and meanwhile everyone else is just sitting in the restaurant while there was still a fire. The whole experience was absurd and a public safety concern. On top of all of that we also had dirty silverware and a spider came down from the ceiling in front...
Read moreWe chose this place for a party of 8 to celebrate a birthday for my daughter. We called ahead and made reservations, and I even called to let them know we were running behind. And that phone call a gentleman answered and was completely rude so I should’ve known right then that this was not the place to go. When we arrived and our party arrived, we got sat and we got our soup and drinks fairly quickly. We ordered sushi and that came in a timely manner as well. Our hibachi chef came over to the table to cook. He was pleasant. However, he was completely non-entertaining. He basically politely stood up in front of us and cooked our meal and that was it but he forgot to give me the chicken that I ordered with my shrimp. They then had to cook it in the back so my meal was completely cold. The Sushi was good, but the hibachi was not and we all felt the same way After he came to cook our hibachi, we only saw our server one more time we all ran out of drink. I had to get up and ask for our server to get more drink, and that still took another 15 minutes happy birthday several other people, but did not come to sing happy birthday to my daughter until I complained about it. This was after their technical closing time however, they should not have taken our party. If they weren’t going to stay the course we ended up spending $300 for overcooked non-flavorful food and bad service, in addition to all of this, the restaurant was not clean! The floors were so greasy that two of us almost slipped and fell! The granite table around the grill was Smeared where someone tried to wipe it, but it’s greasy so it just smeared. Also, be mindful that the tip is included in your price. They will not tell you this, if you don’t...
