I’m a foodie so you can trust this review. My wife and I ordered it to go. I had the caramel mustard glazed pork chops loaded potatoes, Mac and cheese, bloomin onion, the carrot cake and the bread. The bread was really good. I’m not usually a “let me get some wheat bread type of guy ” but this makes me want to eat healthy bread on the regular. The pork chops were flat out amazing. Nice sear, tender, and the amount of seasoning was exceptional. I ordered it well done and actually got it well done. Being that I am also a sauce person, before I even tried it I knew I I might want to get some extra caramel mustard glazed sauce on the side and I was right. That is a top 3 sauce I’ve had all year and I’ve been to a lot of restaurants. Sweet, savory, and a nice after taste. The two 8oz pork chops with two sides is a steal for the price so that’s great. The loaded potatoes were whipped really well and the taste was great too. Onions are my fav vegetable so of course I had to get the bloomin onion. Which was really good with the bloomin onion sauce. The carrot cake was really good maybe just a few more pecans would be nice addition. The icing was phenomenal not too thick, not too thin. My only issue was with the Mac and cheese. The worst thing I had from my order. Mind you, I’m a foodie so the moment I look at it and saw there wasn’t a lot of cheese or at least looked like a full mac(stuffed together, you could see a lot of space between the noodles) that’s usually a good indicator that the Mac and cheese isn’t going to be cared for properly. This Mac and cheese needs some help. More cheese. More flavor. A crust would be nice not necessary though. To be a “premium side” its disappointing. When a person orders Mac and cheese, it should always be a top 3 item that you eat from a place. This was the worst. This item should be reevaluated immediately. I’m saying this in love, not brashly but If there aren’t improvements made to this, just take it off the menu and replace it with something else ASAP and call it a premium side. Overall I give Outback 7.5 out of 10. The Mac and cheese made this place take a hit(if it was up to par this place would easily be somewhere between 8.5-8.7 and even though the food is really good, there are many a place that I could go and get and app, entree, dessert(wife just got an entree and dessert she’ll usually get an app sometimes) and spend under $70 at the most $80. I spent $97. If someone offer to take us out there ok, but If I’m trying to get the full experience, app, entree and dessert, and my wife hypothetically wants to get the same, we’re probably going to go somewhere else especially since we have some growing boys and one of them is probably going to have an appetite like me lol.I would come back eventually, just wouldn’t...
Read moreGreat restaurant if dining there. Do NOT use online ordering/curb side pick-up.
I placed my order online and recieved a confirmation with a time of 6:23-6:28 pm. I pulled into the take-out parking at 6:25 pm. A young gal promptly took my name and I then waited...and waited. I could look into the door from my vehicle and saw a bag of food sitting on the shelf for 12-15 minutes. At approximately 6:45 pm another gal came out to my vehicle and asked my name. I told her and watched her go back in and start checking the items in the bag that had been sitting on the shelf for the past 12-15 minutes (now closer to 18-20 minutes).
When she brought that same bag out to me I told her that I had seen it sitting there for an inordinate amount of time. She got a manager for me and he told me he would give me some take away cards and remake the food. At that point it had been almost one hour since I had placed the initial order and I wasn't about to wait an additional 30 minutes for them to remake my food. He gave me $60 in take away cards (simply ensuring that I return to the restaurant and spend more of my money.)
When I got home, the crab cake appetizer was completely cold and INEDIBLE. The $25 prime rib wasn't even warm to the touch. The fat on the Prime Rib had congealed and it was completely unappetizing. No au jus or horseradish was included. The $1+ garlic butter that I paid extra for was a joke. There was very little of it to begin with and what was there had hardened. The asaparagus was nearly raw but the sweet potato was still warm and delicious. The salad that I asked for no pecans on (due to an ALLERGY) had pecans throughout the salad and the extra dressing I requested was not provided.
The sweet potato and the cheesecake were the only redeeming items in this order. I would have rather had a HOT McDonald's burger than this meal which I paid $69.07 for. My money should have...
Read moreUpdate: the previous review was 1 star in September 2020. It is now May 2021. The restaurant reopened this week with new management and staff. Not only was it a 180° experience in all ways, but our gift cards received from our previous experience had expired in August 2020. That’s right, when the previous management sent the gift cards to us, they sent us expired cards! The new management was very apologetic and honored our cards. The host team, service team, and management were all professional and the food and atmosphere was wonderful.
We arrived early because we knew the wait would be long. 120 minutes later we left because the wait was far longer than we were told, we were not told that there were only specific tables for specific types of parties (ex. 4 tables for parties of 2, 3 tables for parties of 5, with no variation), we were told we had only been waiting for 58 minutes when my husband had text proof that we had been waiting for 2 hours, and a very insincere, rote apology was given and the offer of a complimentary appetizer when a % off the bill would be a better option as we may not have been planning to purchase an appetizer regardless. When we showed our text proof that we had been waiting for longer than other parties who were seated, we were told they did not know what to say, were extremely defensive instead of being helpful, and again offered insincere apologies. They continued to tell other parties that the wait would be less than it most likely will be. If they had been honest with a realistic wait time, sincere in apologies, and offer helpful adjustments then we would have continued to wait for service. But the poor attitude of the staff and the lack of adequate plan for social distancing in their establishment does not...
