If your vegetarian, vegan or allergic to anything I DO NOT RECOMMEND going to this location !! This location is completely awful. I used to work here and the people are completely unprofessional. There’s this girl name Christina and a manager named Guillermo. It's Spanish for William. Who are very close with each other. I witnessed a salad being sent back because the guest didn’t wanted shredded chicken on her salad and all Christina did was pick off the shredded chicken keep in mind there was STILL chicken on the salad and they still sent back the same salad to the table. When she was supposed to remake the salad according to policy she just half fasted it. The manager saw this and didn’t say anything or corrected her. They cook everything on the same stove so if your allergic to anything they don’t work with you. They cook the veggie burger, Tempe, exc. ALL ON THE SAME STOVE with the same spatulas. The same manager Guillermo always witnesses Christina eating food straight off the cooking pan, toppings for the pizzas, even the food that’s being cooked straight off the stove, everything in the back and NEVER sanitizes the area or their hands AT ALL. So their touching food in the back and eating all at the same time and not washing their hands or even getting a new pair of gloves. Christina even makes her self food when there’s meals that need to be sent out to tables and NO MANAGER SAYS ANYTHING SPECIALLY Guillermo. She always makes orders wrong and sends them out anyway with the mindset that the customers won’t care or even pay attention. The manager never say anything about that either. He witnesses everything and is fully aware what she is doing and what’s going on. Never corrects her. He just goes to the other workers and says not to do what Christina does cause that’s not the right way but never tells her that in person. Christina and Guillermo ALWAYS talk really bad about the food and customers in Spanish. ALWAYS. They complain when food is sent back to be corrected when they messed it up in the first place. They talk really really bad about the customers. Nothing is fresh. EVERYTHING is bought at a food lion. None of the ingredients are fresh ingredients. Your getting completely ripped off by their prices for a meal you can make yourself. Specially with the people in the back eating straight from the cooking pans, even wings that come straight out the oven NOTHING IS SANITARY. They don’t clean the pans or the spatulas after making batches of meat/food so your definitely getting your meal with a mixture of everything that has been cooked throughout that whole day. Read moreThe manager, Shantina, single handedly turned our dinner into an incredibly unpleasant and outright horrid experience. We ordered a salad and chicken wings and were charged extra for the dressing and sauce. I asked our waitress for the manager and once Shantina arrived at our table, I told her we were charged extra for the dressing and sauce. I politely asked her to remove these extra charges from our bill and she went on to inform us that it was company policy. We then told her that it should be included with our meal (why would dressing not come with a salad?) Well, it all went downhill from there. Out of absolutely nowhere was an incredibly unexpected, unprofessional, bizarre, and shocking outburst of hatefulness and anger directed at us. She randomly accused us of cussing at her (which no one did; it was a complete fabrication) and she began to angrily raise her voice at us. She stormed off as my wife and I sat there very confused and in complete shock as to what caused her to quickly react in such an outlandish and hateful manner. When she came back, she dropped off our check and walked away without saying anything. She was still in our view so I motioned for her to come back to the table so we could get her name. She refused to give it to us (I had to get it from a different employee later). At that point, she began to angrily and verbally berate and scream at us in front of the entire restaurant, to the point that everyone in the restaurant stopped what they were doing to watch. It was as if she intentionally wanted to cause a scene and was looking for an argument. At one point she squared off with me as if she wanted to get physical which continued to add to the shockingly bizarre actions we were witnessing. I have never seen such unprofessional and, quite frankly, deranged behavior by a manager. What an embarrassment she created for me and my family; and not to mention our 4-year-old daughter was observing all of Shantina's actions and hateful treatment directed at us. My family and I will NEVER again step foot inside a Mellow Mushroom due to Shantina's repulsive and disrespectful behavior. Read moreI want to start this review by saying that we have always had great service and great food here. I placed an order online to be picked up at 6pm today. I received an email confirming that the order was placed and didn’t receive any further communication via email or phone. I went to pick up the order which was 3 pizzas, wings and cheese bread but when my wife went there the manager stated that the order wasn’t made that there was a system error. I went in cause I didn’t receive any further communication and spoke to the manager. She stated that she spoke to my wife and that the order didn’t go through. We have a party at 630 and it’s 605p. I placed the order at 4 online and didn’t receive any email or messages or calls that the order didn’t go through. I explained to her that I didn’t receive anything. She stated that oh it always sends an email and I don’t know you could have deleted it. First of all, why would I come 30 mins prior to the party to pick up food that’s not ready if I got an email stating there was an issue? Second, I show you my email and trash email and there is no email. You have a customer that’s confused and doesn’t understand what’s happening you could be more polite and understanding. She then makes it seem that it’s my fault. I don’t own the ordering system you do! Your company uses it and as far as I’m concerned it’s your company’s fault and own up to it. I am a resident physician that’s coming back after a very long day saving other lives and dealing with a lot of stuff. I just want my food so I can take it to the party and de stress. I could make a similar analogy and say oh your RX didn’t go through because of my EMR but it’s your fault anyway. I would never do that to anyone. The front staff however were absolutely amazing and took care of me immediately and helped get my order together. This manager is beyond rude, awful and shouldn’t be a manager. The front staff should be made managers for handling this situation in a adult like manner. This manager made what I felt like was dirty looks at me when I was picking up the food again and I honestly don’t appreciate it.
