I don't revel in the opportunity to be negative and critical, but I just had a categorically unsatisfactory experience at this restaurant.
I'd been before once, and my first experience was not memorable. This morning my partner suggested we go again, and I obliged.
The restaurant was dirty. The entry way was full of debris (windblown-trash and leaves), the dining room needed a thorough sweeping, and tables were cleared of dishes, but nevertheless dirty with crumbs and food from previous guests. The drink area was gross, to the point of prompting concern about hygiene. I decided not drink anything, after filling my cup with water.
The food quality ranged from mediocre (lemon chicken soup) to completely horrid (roasted red potatoes). My lamb gyro was swimming in an unpalatable liquid, had too little tzatziki, and was sent to me with an unbalanced proportion of meat to vegetables. In a word, my food was gross.
The staff was as pleasant as oft-under-compensated, low-wage employees could be expected to be. I wasn't impressed with anyone's hospitality, but there is nothing major to complain about in this regard. I did need to ask for a table to be wiped down before sitting, which is minor, but shouldn't be necessary in a well managed shop.
My sense is that this place had absent or unqualified managers on duty today. Rarely in these situations, is poor performance like this the direct result of rank-and-file employees. Instead, the issues I faced were floor management and quality control based, and those responsibilities fall under the purview of leadership and management.
Some careful attention from the people in charge could quickly sort this stuff out, but on my visit today, I felt like I wasted $40 and wished I'd gone somewhere else.
I won't...
Read moreTaziki’s is close to my job and so I come here frequently on lunch and we get it catered quite a bit. The food is always amazing. The man in the drive through is always so nice and polite. He has great customer service. I work at a clinic so I have limited time on my lunch break. Today when I drove away I decided to double check my food and after I had already driven off I noticed in my mixed (half baked half soft) pita that there was only half of the pita (the soft). So I had to go back, park and walk back inside because the drive through line was so long and I didn’t have enough time to wait. Which was frustrating because my order was wrong but I was fine to do. I walk up to the side of the counter and this girl with glasses and short black and blue hair asked if she could help me and I showed her the box and said my baked pita was missing. She said “oh you’ll have to give me a minute then”. I was in a rush for time so I said “or then can I just have soft pita”. I was just suggesting this for whatever would be faster since I didn’t have time to wait. She quickly got an attitude and said “excuse me???” or “i’m sorry???” couldn’t hear which one. So I repeated myself and she said “I thought you said you were missing the baked pita.” and I said “I did but” and she said “Well the baked pita is right here.” All of this would have been fine for her to say without the attitude and hostility. The food is great but customer service is important and this is not appropriate way to...
Read moreToday will be the last time I order from Tazikis in Fayetteville. This makes me sad because we eat Tazikis a lot. Like this is the third time in the last week we have ordered food from this location.
Tonight my car died while at the drive through window. I was mortified to say the least. The guy at the window was helpful and offered to help push my car to a parking spot. Twice he said he would talk to his manager about a jump but then never came back. After my husband arrived 45 minutes later, I went in to complain to the manager about his lack of human decency. He told me he didn’t have time and he didn’t care. Did not matter to him that a female was stranded and helping would have taken less than five minutes. His words were “it’s not like you were in the wilderness, it’s a parking lot.” Yeah it matters with all the crazy going on in the world. I also had my two young daughters with me as well. Just recently, a man tried to kidnap a young child inside a store just down the road!
I will add that the drive thru was empty several times while I waited and the parking lot was never super full. It’s a shame really. Lending a hand would have taken less than five minutes but he just couldn’t muster the desire to help. This review may not matter to many but it makes me feel better. Too bad the manager couldn’t do better.
Now to the food. It’s good but not good...
