If I could give a minus rating I would on this visit. This was our first time. Was there Friday night after the car show. Sat for about 20 minutes before someone came to ackowledge us and take our drink order. The one couple asked for a pitcher of beer. One other person wanted one beer in bottle with cold glass. The cold glasses came 20 min before pitcher arrived. My husband ordered a turkey 101 and coke tall. What he got was flat soda with ?. I took the drink back to the bartender and explain what was ordered and what we received was not good at all! He proceeded to pick up the receipt and shove it toward my face to show me and say that they did not carry turkey 101 and the waitress put in American honey and coke. It wasn't his fault and that was that! She knew better! Did not ask if I would like something else. Left the drink in front of him and walked off. Next thing I know the bartender and the lady that took our order was arguing in the middle of the restaurant about who was at fault. She came back to the table and apologized. We asked for our check. That we were leaving to go to another restaurant to get food. Been there about an hour at this time and we had not placed our order yet. The real waitress came and apologized and asked us to try them again. Most people don't have the experience we had. I apologized to her and said their service that night was absolutely crappy!!! We checked their feedback before coming. She could only look back at the bar and apologize. I was absolutely disgusted with the bartenders attitude. There was no call for showing me the receipt and telling me that is what the waitress ordered and it's not his fault. Boo boo. Where is customer...
Read moreNormally, I have a lot of love for this establishment. The food is good, the owners are a gem in this community. But it makes me sad to see a place as good as this have service as purposefully vindictive as it does. I was shocked at the lack of professionalism and basic decency. I went in to eat, and context here— I am 8 months pregnant. After waiting in the sun outside for 20 minutes, I called the only waitress on staff at the time, Effie, by name to please bring me a water as she walked by. She made eye contact with no acknowledgment of my request. Effie served everyone around me who came in, but refused me service without even notifying me. After over a half hour, I went up to ask if there was a problem, and she very rudely said she did not want to serve me and I could wait 2 hours until another waitress came, then ignored my inquiries as to why this was happening. I have never done anything to this person, but I can tell you I was disappointed someone could treat another person like this… At least tell me I should go get a water and pizza elsewhere so I’m not baking and dehydrated in the sun while pregnant. Joe Clark’s really deserves better representation....
Read moreFirst and foremost, this place needs to be billed as a bar, more so than a restaraunt. Our waitress was very friendly, the atmosphere was light and there was live music. My dinner was mostly good. The twice baked potato was totally burnt on the bottom, and I'm one of those people who like to eat the potato skin, and I had to cut it with a knife because it was so tough, so I only ate the top part of the potato. The NY strip was nicely seasoned, but too much of the burnt char from the grill was on it and gave it a burnt tasting crunch that should not be there, it was also a bit too chewy, but tasted fine. I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually grilled to a proper med rare. The salad obviously came from a prepackaged bag of salad mix, but at least it wasn't brown or spoiled. All in all it was good, and if a few of these somewhat minor issues are addressed, it would be worth your time...
