I contacted Usha do alterations for wedding clothes for my family. This included children sherwani, adult and child lehenga choli and the bridal lehenga choli. I wanted someone who could do a job perfectly the very first time. There was no room for error. I would be in big trouble. Usha lived up to my expectations and more. She was very honest with me from the start about everything. She asked to see the clothes before giving me an answer. Her location itself is very impressive unlike other indian alteration places. Gives you confidence. She made sure to measure each person, explained to me what she would do and why to alter each outfit, was on time with all the clothes, and to top it off her pricing was very reasonable. She also was open to me coming to her at the last minute should a crisis arose. I could not have asked for anything more. I was In her store multiple times and each time I saw clientele who came to alter dresses, shirts, pants, bridal and bridesmaids clothing. This increased my confidence in her. I would not want to be the only person in an alteration store. I will definitely go back to her for altering my daily clothing as well. And I highly recommend her for your alteration job and definitley if you have Indian clothing. She truly does an amazing job. She is also very friendly and thoughtful about your clothes, your time...
Read moreIf you are wanting to feel like the most confident and beautiful version of yourself for your wedding day then DO NOT go to Usha’s alterations. While getting fitted she will also be working on other customers as well so you will not be made to feel special in ANY way. They will not make you aware of any prices and when you ask for them to explain AVOID speaking to the man, his name is Kumar Bishnupuri. He will become aggressive and will point his finger directly at your face with no distance. He made my mother and 8 year old daughter feel EXTREMELY unsafe. He was filled with a lot of hostility even tho they were the ones to ruin my wedding dress. Horrible customer service and no communication whatsoever. I had my final wedding dress alterations done today and my dress was completely RUINED. It was scrunched up on the sides, not smooth or form fitting like we discussed at the fitting. The lady made a comment that it was the zipper and my body. So they also will take no accountability for their mistakes. Please read their responses for their negative reviews, it will prove my point of them taking no accountability. AVOID USHA’S ALTERATIONS AT ANY COST!!!!!!!! Especially if you want to feel special for...
Read moreFirst the good ... My daughter's wedding dress was bustled beautifully. The bad? When my daughter went in to pick up her dress upon trying it on she mentioned that she felt the bodice of the dress still didn't fit properly. She was told she needed to use tape to make the cups fit and to close the gapping in the back. My daughter tried to explain that she didn't feel it fit well and the straps of the dress were still falling off her shoulders. Again she was told, more forcefully, to use tape. Upon trying it on for me it was obvious that it didn't fit correctly. The back of the dress has a deep V and both sides were gapping open instead of laying flat against her skin. The front of the dress was too high ... the netting coming up on her neck and all the way up under her arms. Looking closer it appears that the only alteration made to the bodice was to shorten the straps by pulling them up, folding them over and tacking them down. Nothing else was done to make the bodice fit correctly. I could have done that ... this was not something you'd expect from a professional. We are less than two weeks out from the wedding and now have to find someone to make the dress...
