Island Time Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt — Restaurant in Fernandina Beach

To say I was disappointed is an understatement! We were not greeted when we walled in the doors - strike one! I spoke to the cashier and told her this was our 1st time here and asked if she could give us an idea where thibgs were - (rolling of her eyes) Strike two!!!! We can because we wanted frozen yogurt without having to drive to Jacksonville. We headed towards where the attendant pointed. To our dismay there was 4 flavors available ( seeing as we had a child looking forward to frozen yogurt) we filled out cups thinking we can add toppings!! There was 3 flavors of Boba pearls and 2 slices of strawberries. There was several containers on the wall with toppings - some worked others didn't. During this time the attendant never asked if we needed assistance!!! Which was disappointing. When we got to the counter to pay - she told us the cost and said rudly you can start with a tip yo get the process started!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! I will never...

I do not normally take the time to review businesses however this experience as a customer was unacceptable.

We entered the business for the first time so we did have to ask some details. The first person was helpful. However there should be someone on the floor to assist customers. In addition, there should be sample cups to help identify your selection of frozen yogurts.

My children selected frozen yogurt with some toppings. The product was very poor in quality, mostly ice with flavor and sugar.

At the check out counter, the staff member was not friendly, did not provide any customer service instead we were given an attitude for interrupting the staff member, it was too much burden to ask for a spoon, overall we were treated as though we should not be a patron to this business so we will not be returning to Island Time.

Review update: I went in today and the shop was dirty, the staff surly and my soft serve looked like milk slushy that melted before I left the shop. She said she couldn't even put it on the cone because it was too soft. The couple of bites I had left a greasy residue in my mouth. Just groas. Since they also messed up my daughter's order, I decided to toss mine instead of asking them to correct two out of two orders. I just wanted to get out of there. Crappy experience, so dropped a star.

It was only my second time in the shop but I was pleasantly surprised at all the sweet offerings. Lots of ice cream flavors, frozen yogurt and toppings. My daughter got the cotton candy and I was surprised by how tasty it was. They also have Albanese gummies and unsweet tea. My favorite part though is the indoor seating on a hot day. Great way to cool off...
