Twisted Sisters! — Local services in Fernandina Beach

I drove almost an hour from JAX Beach area to get there. I wish I had read the reviews before going!! I saw the sign on the door as I walked in saying no public bathrooms. No big deal I thought I will shop for awhile then if I need to go find one somewhere else. I was in the very overcrowded both with people and items store when it hit me like a ton of bricks!! I couldn't hold it to save my life. I went to the side of the register and tried to ask nicely where the nearest restroom was and I explained I had driven an hour just to get to there store. She yelled at me and described I could go to two other businesses/ locations to use the restroom. I actually had a shop local shirt on I had bought on my last visit to my hometown so her nasty/ rude attitude surprised me a great deal. I had a friend with e and I tried to nicely explain the situation to her and we prepared to buy what we had and get in line. Well while in line I was the 3rd person back and they were taking there sweet time talking with this older lady and gushing with her and saying they were sending her home with some freebies for her. Meanwhile the lady in front of me was getting inpatient as well. Then when they called her up they hurried up and checked her out and shooed her on out the door then they started with me and since my friend was with me I asked where the restrooms where again and they told us but again very very loudly and rudely you could of almost heard it on the other side of the store. I was astonished how rude and cold and if they were being that then super phony fake!! Come to find out what I had driven down there for Cotton Colors (Velcro changing items for other items) they didn't even carry anymore and I asked about it and she told me very rudely they didn't carry anymore. I just simply stated oh I had driven down because it showed that they did on there website and she said that was there problem and they needed to update it! Please please spend your hard earned money somewhere else where people are nice...

Cute store, cute stuff, mostly nice staff but man. One was not so much. I bought a collegiate gift for a superfan friend. I was unaware it was on sale for 40% off. I was told of the sale when i checked out. GREAT, i thought. A gift for my friend AND some savings. I paid, my purchase was put in a bag, and I said "oh could I please have a piece of..." pointing to the tissue paper behind the counter. I was cut off. "Ooooh, sorreeee but for 40 percent off, we really can't just GIVE YOU, you understand."

I was a bit taken aback, and I said "what a bummer, i was really hoping..." And again, I was cut off.

"Here. Just HERE." and she grabbed a single sheet of lime green tissue paper with which to wrap the Georgia Bulldogs gift I purchased and shoved it in my direction.

Needless to say I felt very welcome.

Sorry I had the audacity to be buying a gift for a Bulldogs fan and you happened to have Bulldogs merch on sale. I hope the tissue doesn't cause you to go out of business.

If you have lots of money to spend and are really careful to not accidentally get a discount which they voluntarily offered, i'm sure they will be very kind.

I have shopped at Twisted Sisters for years when I am in Fernindina Beach. Recently I purchased a pair of earrings to wear for New Year's Eve. Yes, they were costume jewelry, but not what I consider "cheap" . When I took them off the card to put them on, one of the earrings literally fell apart. Thankfully I had a back up pair. When I went to the store on New Year's Day to return them they were closed so I called them once I returned home the next day. I was told that jewelry is not returnable ,but because it was broken ,I could mail it back to them , at my own expense, and they would issue me a credit. I asked if I could just return them when I was back in town and was told "no". Returns are only issued for 14 days after purchase and then it is only for store credit. I will miss shopping at Twisted Sisters when I am downtown but they need to rethink their return policy regarding defective...
