We stopped here, when we were looking for something new to eat. We stopped, and decided we would share a sandwich and some sides: sliced brisket sandwich, a side of hush puppies, sweet potato casserole, and bbq baked beans with brisket. The following is "My review" and this review is based on our opinions.. I've lived off BBQ from many Southern BBQ restaurants and my friend is from the Kansas City area. I have memories of bbq in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and other areas of the South.

The rub on the brisket was SUPER SALTY. I had to remove as much of it from the 1/2 of the sandwich as possible. We BOTH thought that there was too much salt used everywhere. Someone is salting the hush puppies as they come out of the fryer. You can see and taste the salt; and it's just NOT needed. We never even finished them because it was too salty. The BBQ beans with brisket were also TOO SALTY and were completely inedible for us both.

The one side that was delicious was the sweet potato casserole. We both agreed that the sweet potatoes were delicious and left as natural as possible minus some sugar and spices. Everything about them was amazing. And they weren't loaded in salt. It's truly the one and only item that we both want to have again. We promised one another if we ended up in Findley again we would stop, get a LARGEST SIZE POSSIBLE & take it home to enjoy later.

I understand that some would disagree with my opinion regarding this bbq place. But we immediately compared this brisket sandwich to the brisket sandwich we got at Buc-ees in Richmond KY less than 2 weeks prior on our way to and back from a vacation in Florida. Buc-ees is 4.5 hours from us in Richmond KY and their brisket is AMAZING, tender, plentiful and dressed ever so lightly in their own BBQ sauce.

I will give City BBQ one more chance. They are lucky, that I didn't rate them 1❄️/⭐ because there was only 1 item we enjoyed. The employees were nice and friendly, the restaurant was clean inside. These things brought the review up from a single star to a second chance when we are in Findley Ohio again. We live in Toledo Ohio. Let's hope the next trip will be better. Brightest...

I'd never been here before, but I was invited by a friend for his birthday.

Walking into this place, you're immediately greeted by the delicious smell of smoked meat. The staff is pretty friendly and very accommodating. The reason I only gave 3 stars is mainly due to portion sizes and prices. With the economy not being very good at the moment, prices of everything are going up, but the amount of food received for the price paid could be a bit better. While I do like smoked meat, some of the meat tasted a bit over smoked. The brisket, sausage, pulled pork and ribs, were pretty good, although, the chicken was a bit too "wet" for it to be smoked. The mac and cheese has potential, but it fell short due to being a bit runny and lacking of seasoning. The baked beans were amazing, and the hush puppies were some of the best I've ever tasted. The fries were seasoned nicely and had a good texture until you got to the bottom where the heat basically steamed those fries and caused them to be a little chewy but still good, nonetheless. For what's it's worth, I'd come back here again but try something different for a...

Cute place, lots of different sauces to try and never had anything bad! Fresh lemonade and great iced tea that you serve yourself, so a nice time to make an Arnold Palmer however you like it...I prefer: 1/2 unsweet tea, 1/4 sweet tea and a 1/4 lemonade! For lunch I got the limited time only burnt ends and jacked macaroni. The burnt ends weren't as large of a portion as I expected but paired with a side was plenty to fill me up. The Brushfire sauce was really good on them, added some heat. The Jacked macaroni although delicious, was also a little bit of a let down...only because I expected there to be all kinds of stuff added to it, hence the name Jacked, but you just had your choice of smoked bacon or brisket. I did the bacon and it was a whole lot of yum as is but adding a packet of Texas Pete and some of their smoked green chili sauce, took it over the top!! It's the only way I want to eat macaroni and cheese ever again! Got to eat outside on their patio which always a great thing! Their cukes and onions are delish but the green beans or potato salad are stellar...

First time eating here and gotta say it wasn't bad. I ordered a Sampler dish and it had Pulled Pork, Brisket, Ribs, and a chicken wing and breast. The pulled pork was good I added some of there spicy BBQ sauce and it was good. The brisket was also decent but not great. The chicken I didn't care for honestly and I love chicken. The ribs again were OK but not great. The side salad was good, but the Slaw was bland and had no sauce... Overall if you want BBQ and you're in the area check Tony's first if they're closed then this isn't a bad second option!
