Royal Buffet — Restaurant in Findlay

I'm never coming back to Royal Buffet again!!! I've been here on and off over the years and every time I do, I always regret it. I came here with my son for a quick bite to eat before heading home. Walk in the door and the lady that takes the drink orders and seat placements is always sitting behind the counter on her phone.

They have a rather large area for the buffet, but some of the rows literally have nothing in them and out of the ones that do, they've been picked through or have been sitting there for sometime and were need of being replenished. Mind you this is around 8:15pm on a Friday night and they don't close until 10pm. My son and I salvaged what food we could to piece a couple plates together. The entire time we were eating, no one took our plates or refilled our drinks.

By time the waitress came around to do anything we were already finished. It's this same waitress in particular that I always seem to get stuck with and she's always the worst. She provides the worst service and does little to nothing the entire time. Then when she hits you with the check and you get up to pay, if you're paying by card and there's no cash tip on the table, she will immediately drop what she's doing and bum rush you at the counter.

Then she'll stand there staring you down when you're signing the receipt speaking to the lady at the front counter in another language I'm assuming talking trash about you or atleast the very least their demeanor tells me that they are. This was the final time I come here, I WILL NOT tolerate her lack luster service, her entitlement and poor attitude any longer. I crossed out the tip section right in front of her and promptly exited the building.

I don't understand why she thinks she deserves anything by the way she acts. In my opinion she doesn't even deserve to have a job there as a waitress. I haven't the slightest clue why they haven't fired her yet after all these years, she must be family or something. All I know is, family or not, she has got to be terrible for business. I mean just look at some of the other reviews, I'm certainly not the only one experiencing these same issues.

Overall, the food, service and atmosphere here has been on a consistent decline since they've opened years ago. If you're ever in the Fremont, Ohio area I highly recommend Asian Buffet. Not sure how my original review was removed from last month, along with a lot of the other horrible reviews I read on this place.

Horrible experience, terrible manager at the desk. Horribly rude. The only thing I could appreciate was my waitress who I was told at the register by the manager not to tip if I'm not happy and then everything should be fine ???? Gross. Of course a failing business would prefer their employee to suffer instead of being accountable for their mistakes.

On top of it all, my 4 year old got horrible food poisoning from the literal BITE of GARLIC BREAD. I can't exaggerate bite enough. We all tried a small plate with maybe 4 small pieces of food on it , couldn't eat any of it. Tasted our water, it even tasted funny. I decided it probably wasn't safe to eat and instead of eating we all left. When we talked to the person at the counter we got charged a total of 87$ for 2 adults and 1 child. Again. None of us even ate, we didn't load up a plate and decide to leave so I can't imagine where the 87$ in charges would even be coming from. I really do not recommend eating here unless you want to purposely make yourself suffer.
