So I’m a server at a Frickers and yesterday I went to Olive Garden in Findlay and had an awful experience. I went there and waited about 20 minutes to get served maybe longer. We only got served because my mom asked a server nearby if she could find us a sever. She got defensive saying it wasn’t her section but she’d find someone. (Which I found to be rude because we weren’t insinuating she was our sever, she was in the section with several tables right behind us and could see we had menus and no drinks. I get that’s not her problem but her attitude was not it) she ended up serving us and did a good job but it was lowkey embarrassing for that foh to see servers and hosts walk by us for so long and not wonder why we weren’t served. Like at my job at that point I’d stop and ask if someone’s been served and if not serve them? (I mean more money???) or let the person in that section know they have a table. I mean corporate places like this are sad because from at least what I’ve heard from people who have worked at Olive Gardens or other similar places they are only allowed to serve a certain amount of tables like 4. Could be wrong but I’ve taken care of parties of 30 myself or ten tables and would have never let someone wait that long with no acknowledgment or let another server do that. It’s a shame too. I’d like to think I’m a decent tipper as someone who understands things happen and serving, bartending and hosting. I did tip her decently above 20 percent. I wouldn’t say it was her fault but if you can I wouldn’t go to this Olive Garden the work ethic isn’t there or motivation. But I’m definitely going to be hyper aware of my interactions with customers because I never want someone to be treated...
Read moreThis restaurant is always busy, and there's a good reason as to why. I had a server named Allison, who was a complete sweetheart. I can be a little awkward sometimes when it comes to social situations, but they were extremely sweet when I asked them if it was okay to take a smoke break. I normally don't dine alone, so it made me nervous because I didn't want them thinking I was going to leave, but they were extremely understanding, and I was grateful for that. I'm not in favor of their alcohol choices, however thier Strawberry Margarita wasn't overpowering on the alcohol taste, it was a perfect blend between a milky sweet strawberry flavor and a small hint of the tequila with the bite. I got the meatballs for an appetizer, and they are just as good as I remember. It was extremely light on the sauce, so anyone whose thinking of ordering it I do suggest asking for extra marina sauce. I was full by the time that my main meal came around, I had gotten Fettuccine Alfredo with asparagus and shrimp on it. They did an excellent job at cooking the asparagus which I was pleasantly surprised at seeing that most resturants fail to get it crispy on the outside with a soft chew on the inside. The place was extremely busy which does come at the cost of it being loud, but luckily I was seated at a more empty area, so it was the quieter spot...

I order the sauce for the bread sticks since they tend to be a bit dry. Lunch is the best time to go because lunch menu has smaller portions and better pricing. You can order dinner size portions at lunch, but you might be taking leftovers home. The salad is a iceberg heavy mix with cabbage, a few carrot shreds, a few olives, a few Roma tomato slices, and 2 peppers. Grated Parmesan if requested. Default dressing is Italian but ranch is available.
The Findlay olive garden tries hard to provide delicious meals, but not necessarily authentic Italian.
The Italian sausage is really nice. Good fennel flavor with just a bit of spice, but still mild.
Dessert are delicious if you have room. The donuts with sauces our our favorites. I like the tiramisu too. But there is always a divine chocolate dessert to be had on the menu.
Cocktails and wine and beer are available as well as flavored teas...
