Angelo's is a real gem in the Nickel Plate District! Whether you are looking for the best tasting pasta for your next dish, pre-made meals you can heat up at home, or one of the tastiest quick lunch options in the area this is your place!

I have to start with the pasta of course :-) When you walk up to the storefront you first see the giant pasta maker in the front window (maybe even actively making pasta if you are lucky!). Be sure to ask about the full story while you are in there, but just to give you a "taste" (heh) this pasta is made with a special kind of wheat from a local farmer that delivers it directly to the store. The pasta itself has amazing texture and taste, with shapes that are sure to elevate whatever you are making.

The pasta itself would be enough to make this a must stop shop, but one of my personal favorite reasons for stopping is the lunch special they do every week day! If you stop in Mon through Friday between 11am and 1pm you can pick up whatever the lunch special is that day (the specials are on their website). It's one of the few places in the district you can get a delicious take out lunch quickly, with a reasonable portion, and for a reasonable price. If you're like me, you'll find yourself back here at lunch often :-) It's also a great reason to stop on by for your first time if you've never been!

If you need to cover dinner for your self or the family, they also have pre-made meal options that our family LOVES as well. Perfect for those evenings you want a tasty dinner but don't want to get the pots and pans dirty. We usually pre-order through their website so that we can make sure we can plan on the specific meal/day. This is a fantastic way to get to enjoy their pasta without even needing to cook it yourself!

There's lots of other tasty treats there, from biscotti to olive oil and charcuterie, and also a little cooler where you can buy locally made Circles ice cream.

Hope you get a chance to stop by! But keep all this between us; I don't want the secret of how awesome Angelo's is getting out too...

Angelo's is an Italian multi-generational family-owned business that makes fresh pasta, sauces, and bread. My grandparents immigrated from Naples and Sicily, and we grew up with freshly made authentic Italian food.

Grandmom's kitchen, in the basement of their townhome, was a place filled with a little bit of magic and memories of making pasta, sauce, and anise cookie treats!

The food we would create and eat from Grandmom's kitchen leaves me with happy memories still to this day.

Angelo's feels like being back at my grandparent's house. The food is DELICIOUS!!! It's pasta, bread, and sauce made fresh daily, and they announced that they will be offering fresh meatball subs on their freshly made bread between 11-1 during the week.

They offer their products for pre-order, pickup, and delivery through Market Wagon. As if all of that wasn't good enough, Circle Ice Cream has a mini cooler in their shop where you can grab their incredible ice cream flavors. It's a partnership...

This place has handmade fresh pasta made in house (just durum wheat and water), a variety of fantastic handmade sauces, delicious focaccia bread, a small selection of Volpi meats, sandwiches, and (my favorite!) lemon soda. Let me tell you, the smell of the fresh pasta brought me right back to my grandma's kitchen. The bread was so soft and flavorful I wish I would have gotten a couple. The owners are friendly and very informative. I can't wait to come back and see what else they offer.

You can also get some ice cream there from a local vendor who collaborates with several local Indy businesses on custom flavors. When I was there they had lemon meringue pie (collab with Hotel Tango), puppy chow stout (collab with Metazoa), spumoni (collab with Angelo's Market), cookie milk, mint chocolate, and key lime pie. They all looked great.

They also import gluten free pasta from Italy for people with special...

Another jewel in Fishers Indiana. My first visit to Angelo's I learned the origin story behind this market. You can feel the authenticity when you walk through the doors. Like many real (not replicated) businesses that were born out of providing an authentic product (foodies take note here!), this place features the familiar smells of Italy. From the locally milled semolina flour, to the specific imported olive oil, you will find many things to try out. Primarily a market, they also provide some lunch items. For those people who are planful, they offer ordering online (or email them directly with special requests). I have not tried all the food yet, but if the meatball sub is any indication of the quality of products here... I will be back many many times. Thanks for a great conversation as well as some tasty foods.

I visited Angelo’s Italian Market for an event but ended up buying a dessert cause the options looked divine. I believe it was a lemon cake which was by far the best quality and taste I have ever eaten. Best taste for me is defined by real flavor barring the usage of artificial extracts and sweeteners and one bite into the cake it was everything I wanted. The lemony freshness added quite an oomph to the cake. Angelo’s Italian Market is locally owned and products in the store are imported from Italy, pasta made fresh in house. I did like the offering which was durum wheat pasta. Good and hearty. There’s a variety of cheese, premium veggies, sauces, homemade meatballs and lasagne you can look at! Located in a very upscale location, definitely going to head back!
