Main Event on 96th — Restaurant in Fishers

Love this place!! I haven't had many items from their menu, just their wings actually. But i must say, their wings are A. M. A. ZING! I plan to try more at some point to leave a better review.

Their service for the most part is really good. They have a man at the door check your ID before you enter so there's no hassle at the counter. He's very nice, and very welcoming. The bartenders are nice for the most part, but sometimes have a short fuse. But that's totally understandable, working in a bar I'm sure they get lots of rough customers.

The atmosphere leaves a lot to the imagination though. Not much room in the rec area. The pool tables are really close together, and the space between them and dining tables, and the walls on the opposite side are pretty small as well. They only have 2 pool tables, but they also have 2 dart boards, and electronic golf. They have a jukebox, but the music is pretty quiet, and when they get busy you can't really hear the music over the people. BUT, from what I understand, it's a family owned bar, so the finer details are understandable.

I arrived at 5:00pm on a Sunday night. I sat down at a table. There were 3 front of the house employees that I saw. It took 10 minutes for an employee to acknowledge me. She brought me the menu and an ice tea that I ordered. It appeared to me 1 server was doing most of the work. I sat for another 20 minutes without anyone coming back to me. I drank the entire ice tea. I finally got upset and left when a couple came in and the other server sat down with them right in front of me and started taking care of them. When you acknowledge regulars over first time guests, especially after I had sat there for a half an hour, it's time to go. I believe the manager on duty may have been a male and he too sat with these regulars and didn't acknowledge me after I had been there 30 minutes. I got up and walked out. No one seemed to care. Terrible first time visit. No need to return. Best of luck running your neighborhood bar that way. My husband and I stopped by there to try something new. Erin greated us nicely and took our drink order. The food was fantastic! Husband had nachos, I had farmer salad and a cup of chili. It was heaping and delicious. Had to take the salad to go, couldn't eat it all. Food took a little while to come out, longer than you would expect nachos, a salad, and chili. No mention about the length of time, fine, the food was great. Asked for box, a young man came out with tops for my dressing. I jokingly said he knew exactly what I needed, and he said he was told I needed lids. I made a couple other comments, no response. Erin brought the box and I got my salad ready to go. My husband told her how he needed the checks and it was perfect. Took at least 5 or 6 times passing by it to finally check us out. Maybe we had both had it, since we were out of beer and tired.
