Ordered two new devices and set up two new wireless lines. The devices had to be ordered. Told I would receive call when they came in. I watched the UPS tracking and saw when they arrived. Did not receive call from store, so reached out to them and was told they were in. Went to store for activation only to be told by a very angry man that there was a Verizon network outage and I would have to come back in 24 hours. Why didn't they call me to tell me this? Returned to store two days later. Just one slow moving "in-training" associate working. Took him combined five hours to activate lines and devices, which still are not fully functioning. He had to call multiple people for assistance, struggled to multi-task, and communicated very poorly. More than once the Verizon reps hung up on him because he was not communicating to them. He ignored other customers in the store and at one point said he "chose the wrong profession." I will have to go to another Verizon location to fix the setup errors made yesterday. I will also have to keep a close watch on my monthly bill to make sure the correct promo was applied. The only compensation I received for my time was a 20% discount on two phone cases. We were given promotional pricing to purchase two new phones from Verizon transferring our plans from a different carrier. In writing we were promised two $150 gift cards which we have never received. I went back to talk with the manager three weeks ago, and never received a return call which was promised. We were subsequently told that we were given selective pricing and or the gift cards. That it’s not true! As far as I’m concerned, these people lied to gain our business. I will never do business with TCC or any other Rison affiliate. They are very unprofessional and will not get my business in the future save your money and go somewhere else.
Update: over one week ago, I received an email request from TCC to please contact their customer service as they wanted additional information. I reluctantly did so! The young lady I talked to was very nice and promised me that someone would be in contact with me within 24-48 hours. JUST ANOTHER LIE BY THIS COMPANY! Chis is extremely knowledgeable and professional and far surpassed my expectations for setting up a replacement phone that I received this morning after spending 9 hours on the phone over the past 10 days trying to resolve an issue with my Voicemail. After such frustration working on the phone with Verizon Technology Support, I decided to take my newly delivered phone up to the Verizon Store on 96th street and ask if I could be helped. Chris DEFINITELY helped me! Instead of saying that 'I need to call Verizon Customer Support', he immediately got to work. Chris deserves a Customer Service Award and Recognition for being the best Verizon Employee I have ever worked with. After my non-resolved 9 hours of troubleshooting and immense frustration with the Verizon Technology Support team, I was so very close to finding a different mobile phone provider.
