Pita Land Grill & Halal Meat Shop — Restaurant in Fishers

This establishment used to be a full blown seating restaurant not a long ago, but now it’s been converted to a middle eastern grocery with a to go “fast food” restaurant. Therefore if you order food, your food will look like different from what pictured on the screen menu since those pictures were from when this was a full seating restaurant! However, the foods here are still very good, their grilled chicken was amazing, their lamb kebab was so tender and delicious, the rice was very good too. So, what’s not good is their professionalism, when they make mistakes don’t expect to get an apology from them, and the menu is confusing as well, hard to know witch one is a combo (comes with fries + a can of soft drink, and which ones are not), and their “fast food” restaurant doesn’t start until 11 am, even when the grocery store opens at 10am (only this hour is the one reflected on google! So if you’re like me, coming too early thinking to order food at 10, you can’t or you can order the food but you might not know if they will get it until you are waiting after 11 am and just to find out that your orders couldn’t be made since a catering trumped your order! And good luck with getting an apology or any compensation to correct...

Generally i like to go to smaller independent stores, but tonight the service was terrible. The food is better than average but it does not cover how bad the service was tonight. I order 2 combos and was told that it would be 10 min. Came back and one was done and they said the other would be just a min. 20 min later, they guy comes out with the second order. the guy at the front said i get two drinks, i had picked two of the orange ones on the right of the counter, i asked him if it was okay when i paid, and he mumbled something about those weren't allowed. I went back to the car to retrieve them and switch them out for cokes. Come back in and he doesn't hand me the food. he goes on and packs another order. I put the two drinks back on the counter and he ignores me. It takes him another 5-10 min to hand me my food. and the kicker is, he hands me back the two orange drinks. So, a 10 min take out order turns into almost an hour wait. Time...called in order at 7:00 PM..get out of there at 7:50. Next time if we want Gyro..might drive the extra 5 min to Al Basha. Service will be better..can't...

Third time was the worst. Took my wife there for valentines day 2 different years including this year, and one other visit between. We are both middle aged gyros lovers, so we've seen a lot of this kind of food. Most of the food we've had here tasted good and was reasonably well prepared. The reason for 2 stars is they've mostly been staffed by awful customer service. People who mumble, people with low interactive skills, people who don't really care about your experience there. The last time (2018 valentines), we walked in and there were several tables of people, some families, with barren tables. There were 3 groups waiting for take out orders. We were never told what the issue was. We only know they took our order when they apparently were having a severe service issue, and they took 45 minutes to give us our order. No warning. Again, I think their food is usually good, but you have to be prepared for awful service to get it. I might give them a 4th try before deleting them from my list simply because there aren't many gyros places...
