Mattress Firm West Beltline Highway — Hotel in Madison

This was my third visit to Mattress Firm this year and first experience buying a mattress. The first time I thought for sure I wanted a soft luxurious sleep on a cloud mattress. A couple months later I developed severe hip pain that woke me multiple times a night. So I went back in to use the exchange option and told the salesman I was pretty sure it was far too soft and I wanted to try a firm. (The mattress I had was classified as medium). I instead was HEAVILY pressured into another mattress that didn’t seem any different to me whatsoever and after repeated attempts to explain I wanted to try a firmer mattress and being cornered over by these softer mattresses in all honesty my trauma triggered and I just let him pick what he most assuredly thought would be the perfect fit. When I asked about what if this mattress doesn’t work? How many more times can I do this? He said “don’t worry about that I’ll take care of you.” Two more months of off and on and then just on agonizing hip pain (and a few hundred dollars in physiotherapy treatment) and I decided to sleep on the floor on a outdoor couch cushion for a week and as uncomfortable as that was not an ounce of hip pain on any night except when I tried to sleep in that bed. So I went in again and told the whole story and the salesperson (a new one) began to pressure me into a softer feeling mattresses- decently heavily like I was fully advocating over and over for them to just lead me to the firmest they had. It wasn’t until I asked how many times I was allowed to do this (they said it was my last time) that they relented and showed me others to try. It would’ve been nice to know if a firm mattress would’ve worked for me as opposed to extra firm because I do like soft give for my achy body, but because it was my last time and all I know for sure is that sleeping on the floor doesn’t kill my hip, I went with extra firm. Pretty disappointing...

I have been looking for a mattress in person and online for the last couple of months. Before this recent journey for a bed I haven’t shopped for a mattress in quite some time. I was kinda shook with the prices at Slumberland and the furniture stores. Basic mattress are at least $2600 on up. I wanted to maybe try some of the beds I’ve seen on Facebook, but was unsure if that was really wise to spend the money and waste time to have them ship to me just to return if I don’t like it. I ran across an advertisement for Mattress Firm and made them one of my stops on our mattress hunting. My son tried everything there. The salesmen are so chill. They only helped when we needed. The store off the belt line was our favorite . My son found what he likes, and it was a Purple 2. These are pretty popular. They have a great warranty and there was a special running to get free sheets and a free Purple Pillow. The guys from Mattress Firm all go out of their way to pick up these beds from warehouses on their own time. They drive all over to make sure that they can get the beds to their customers quicker. When we decided to place an order, it was when they were running a extended Memorial Day sale. Sean Scott answered all questions and took out order over the phone. He then sent us an invoice to pay via email. It was all so smooth with zero pressure. We are so happy with the purchase from Mattress Firm. We are picky and work hard for our money. I was experiencing an usual situation with a mattress that I had gotten from Mattress Firm's Clearance house. There was a slight V shaped dent in the middle to the point where it felt like the mattress was separating. I decided to go to Mattress Firm to see what they could do to help as they were the ones that I got it from. Nate and Ron took the time to really break down my whole bed set up instead of just assuming it was the mattress which I appreciated. Ron asked lots of questions about the mattress, the box spring and the metal bed frame. This attention to detail to determine if either of those parts needed to be fixed instead of getting a new mattress really helped. After talking it out and even going home to do a little investigation of my own, I had no other options but get a new mattress. Because I got the first mattress on clearance, there was no warranty. I really do appreciate the time they took to make sure I was happy because they knew that getting another new mattress so soon was not really in my plans. It was also nice that they took the time to go over what they could do to help in the way of exchanges or if I changed my mind should I not be happy with my purchase. My mattress will be delivered on Sunday and I'm really excited! I don't write reviews so sorry this is really long, thanks...
