MISLEADING POLICIES AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
The claim of "No monthly fees or strings attached" on their ads could not be further from the truth! My daughter and her boyfriend took her younger brothers here and were talked into signing up for a membership where they could pay $1 but could cancel anytime.
My daughter submitted her cancellation TWICE over the course of 2 months for herself and my boys, yet her card continues to be charged. (not sure how they let kids who are under 18 sign a membership contract in the first place, but that is another issue for another day). I've had to call twice now, only to be met with condescending responses and accusations that I never called before-despite clearly speaking to someone in the afternoon.
When I first called, I was told that online cancellations aren't valid unless someone calls to confirm - something that was never mentioned upfront. They also, told me that it was a 3 month minimum- something that was not told to my kids, but as a business owner, makes sense. I told them I understood and as last month was the 3 month mark, asked them to finally cancel. Now, they're asking me to Resend emails that I had already submitted last month. (aka the online cancellation that i had already submitted, but was told was not valid)
The runaround is ridiculous, and the lack of accountability is deeply disappointing.
Also, for the record- I spoke to Chris on the phone this month. I learned my lesson after being accused today that I was being dishonest because i could not recall the name of the person i spoke with last month and being told that they had RECORD of me cancelling at 3am so i couldn't have spoke to anyone. I obviously, did not cancel at 3am, but let's say I did... if you have record of it...WHY do i need to send anything further.
As a business owner myself, I find this practice shady and completely unacceptable. Customers deserve honesty, consistency and transparency - not to be made to feel like they're making things up to get out of being...
Read moreThis place is awesome, and if I could I'd give it five more stars. Everyone else can tell you how it's a great place for kids to run around, build confidence, and burn off energy (totally is). I agree with this, but what has really stood out to me is that the customer service is off-the-charts awesome. So awesome that I literally got home and immediately sat down to write this review.
I'm in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and I've brought my little sister in twice since since opening about a month ago. Each time, the staff has gone above and beyond.
A few examples - -Our first time was on a day that's usually closed, so we were the only ones there at first and we showed up 30 minutes early for our jump time (like it says on the website). Since we were the only ones there, they let us start jumping right away, essentially giving us an extra 20 minutes for free. -We went to buy pizza towards the end of the night. It had been sitting out for a while and they didn't feel comfortable selling it. Even though they were in the process of closing, they offered to make us a fresh new pizza or we could take the old pizza for free. We took the old one and I'm told it was delicious. :) -We were told by the BBBS program that we would receive a discount on tickets purchased there (as we do with many businesses in Madison). When we got there, the staff and manager working didn't know anything about it. Without missing a beat, the manager Carly said she would give us a discount anyway and follow up with the GM to figure out what they could do in the future.
Overall, I'm super impressed with this place. It can get a little crazy/loud/dirty on the floors, but what do you expect? Nothing out of the ordinary, and overall it's in great shape. They seem to really care that people have a good time and to prioritize the experience over meticulously tracking jump times and squeezing you out of money. I'd highly recommend, though probably on a weeknight if you can since I heard it gets really crazy on...
Read moreI recently had the displeasure of visiting Sky Zone, and I must say that I was extremely disappointed with the experience. Firstly, I found their pricing strategy to be completely ridiculous. Instead of charging for an all-day pass, they force you to pay by the hour, which I found to be incredibly inconvenient and expensive. It's not like we were able to enjoy everything the facility had to offer in an hour, so it felt like we were being robbed.
Furthermore, I was shocked by their price for birthday parties. I had heard that Sky Zone was a great place to have a party, but the exorbitant costs made it inaccessible for many families. The fact that they charge extra for everything, from decorations to food, made it clear that they care more about making a profit than creating a memorable experience for their customers.
To make matters worse, the building was in terrible shape. The floors were uneven, and my little kid and I almost tripped several times. It was clear that maintenance was not a priority for them. What's more, there was no blocking off the areas under the trampolines, which is incredibly dangerous. I couldn't believe they would allow people to walk right under the trampolines where they could potentially be hit by someone jumping.
Overall, my experience at Sky Zone was extremely disappointing. The lack of an all-day pass, expensive birthday parties, and the poorly maintained facility were all major issues that detracted from what could have been a fun day out with my family. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I will...
