After reading the reviews and talking to a lot of locals we decided to go have pizza today at Giovanni's. I love local quaint small places like this where the food quality is super high and the price point is spot on. Just overall you feel really good when you walk in like it's a normal place and that's what automatically sets you at ease. My husband ordered the meat lovers and I ordered a hoagie toasted Italian. Halfway through my hoagie I realized I was fully in love with this place the bread was amazing the bread makes it. Halfway through my husband's Pizza I he decided he wanted half of my hoagie and I wanted half of his pizza so we swapped. All of this happening of course after we decided to take home The leftovers. there were no leftovers it's gone. Besides the super awesome food the nice atmosphere and everything else at the very end I noticed that they had a Ms Pac-Man machine that had galaga on it. I think that's what would make this a 10 star if they allowed me to go up to 10 Stars awesome place can't wait to go back definitely going to be a repeater. we only live an hour and 45 minutes from here but I could see us driving up here on the weekend just for this pizza and their sandwiches. Customers for life!!...
Read moreI have been to so many pizza spots here in Flagler. Some claim to be NY style pizza. Some to be the best. Some were ok and most were not good at all. I won't name them because I'm not about tearing down businesses especially in a time when we need boosts in our economy.
Coming from a New Yorker like me we know what we want in a pizza slice and Giovanni's Pizza and Pasta in Flagler Beach humbly takes the best Pizza in Flagler. There is no one close to their pizza. I saw it many times as I passed but never tried it because I was disappointed with the other pizza spots and their claims. I thought this spot on the beach won't hold up because they're catering to beach goers who want a salad on their pizza slice (even though I'm sure they can make that happen). For me the true test is just a plain slice. They are the place to go. To all my friends and family here in town as well as those vacationing in town.... go to Giovanni's.... YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!
P.S. I know there are many taste buds and that everyone is sierren l different, I'm addressing NY Style. Giovanni's is what s New Yorker wants and if you never been to NY and wanted to taste how a slice would be...
Read moreWhen I think of a small town Italian place that specializes in pizza and pasta, I would think of something that reminds me of Italy and family pride. As I close my eyes and reminisce on my time inside of Giovanni’s I’m not reminded of the Old Country, I’m reminded of my time in Walmart at midnight. There were pizza boxes everywhere, the seating arrangement didn’t flow well, it looked like they just put tables and chairs where they would fit, and I found the back booth of particular interest as it looked as though it was converted to the office with papers, chargers, a computer, and a duffel bag in it. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and was given a floppy mess with an unbalanced amount of pepperoni on it that had some very sweet sauce and dough. We also ordered a cannoli and some cheesecake, which were both fantastic! They also cost $9 together, which seemed like a lot of a cannoli and a small piece...
