Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Flagstaff

I am writing a review specifically about the pale skin girl with platinum blonde hair and black square glasses. I came in on 10/19/25 at 8:00pm.

I just ate dinner in town and wanted dessert and wanted cold stone creamery for their boo batter ice cream. I am from Dallas, Tx and have been staying in Flagstaff for a week. I thought down in Texas we did southern hospitality, but the whole time I’ve been here everyone has been so kind and friendly! - until TODAY.

Anyway, I came in for ice cream here. The only time I’ve tried the boo batter ice cream was back at home as a sample and i regretted not getting it.

I really wanted it and I remember the lady back in Texas said you can mix in inclusions (the pre made selections from the wall) in one of the ice creams.

So I came in knowing what I wanted: the one smart brookie inclusions, with the boo batter ice cream base.

So on their menu: a build your own in size “I like it” / small.

When I walked up to order there was no greeting just a stare at me. Blank flat stare. I said hi could I get the “witches boo” and she said oh we actually can’t make shakes right now.

I didn’t mean to order that, so I said sorry and went to order the boo batter ice cream taco with the one smart brookie inclusions.

She then said that the tacos come premade so I wouldn’t be able to get any inclusions.

Cool did not know that so I just wanted the boo batter ice cream with inclusions in a small cup.

She seemed so annoyed that I wanted to customize my ice cream instead of order a premade selection????

She made it and slid the cup on the counter and checked us out.

My bf paid.

I grabbed the cup and took a small bite. Went in for another scoop with my spoon and a medium length blonde hair came out of the ice cream!!!!!

I held it up and everyone in the shop was staring at me.

We approached the counter to tell her and she didn’t even apologize 😂 she just grabbed the cup from me and remade it but it was smaller than the first one.

Not even a “sorry about that” “anything I can do about it?”

Just handed it to us.

Crazy work.

Wouldn’t recommend this location to locals or tourists.

I’ve lived in this city a whole year and never even noticed this was over here! I’d googled if we had any CSC locations nearby, cuz I wanted to get a gift card for my friend’s kid (So she could get a bday dessert on me, since I can’t be with them to celebrate). When I came in, the atmosphere was super clean & smelled amazing!! I’m guessing it was the fresh cones?? Buying a gift card was quick & easy. I asked Ian how much would your typical kid’s size treat cost? He named a specific thing from the menu (can’t remember what it’s called) that he said is a common one that kids seem to like; said it’s about $8. Which all turned out perfect, cuz I had in mind I’d get a $10 gift card. GOOD WORK! He was also very polite & inviting. Even tho I’m not much of a sweets-craver, this’ll be in mind if the opportunity arises to get ice cream somewhere. Hey, it is warming up...

Just tried giving them another chance and discovered an employee blatantly violating a serious health code policy that could get customers very Ill or worse. You are not allowed to work with any food with fake nails on without gloves so that you can avoid containing customers food. I won't give this business another chance. They do not take food safety seriously. Over the last 6 months the attitude of the employees has been grouchy to downright nasty. Being as there are soo many other ice cream options in town, as a customer I will forever take my business to your competitor. Your signage is out of date, your employees don't respect people's individual rights. Your employees treat customers as a cash cow instead of like people. I hope...
