Updated 6/17/23: We're back in! I took the kids here recently because they needed to eat while we were out and I was pleasantly surprised that the owner recognized us and mentioned were "preferred customers" and could modify our wraps so long as we keep the toppings to 6 items or less. The kids were so thrilled because we discontinued our regular dining here when their menu changed and limited our ability to customize our wraps. My kids have texture/taste preferences and the default wrap toppings disagreed with thier needs. Knowing that we can exchange tomato for cheese or pickles for jalapeños makes a huge difference for us and I can't wait to go back and order a falafel wrap.
About this restaurant, the offer clearly labeled GF and Vegan options. It's conveniently located near NAU in the greentree shopping center and serve canned/bottled alcohol, sparkling water, prebiotic drinks, as well as fountain soda and fresh brewed ice tea. They also have a small Mediterranean mart where you can purchase Turkish delights, ingredients for this type of cuisine, and pitas (including GF!!). Order to-go, eat in, orr on patio. Their falafel (wrap, plate or side) are my go to. Kids typically order beef shawarma (lamb/beef gyro no longer GF) and my husband loves to order fried cheese curds (not GF). Their french fries are fresh pressed and tastes like carnival curly fries (which I prefer). No MSG, top quality ingredients, and...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place. But it's overpriced, the help is dismissive and aloof, and the food ranges from mediocre to merely good.
I had a gyro lamb sandwich. The meat portions were quite small, something I would not have expected for $11. My wife's salad with chicken shawarma was fresh and good so that is a bright spot.
The pita bread was mediocre: dry and lacking flavor. The hummus was good but looked as if it could have just as easily come from a grocery store. It was in a plastic container not unlike you would find at some local Safeway.
Each soft drink we ordered was $3.25. Seems high to me.
I think what I am trying to say is that the place does not seem to be a good value proposition which is a mealy mouthed way of saying it costs too much for what you get. For the two of us the bill was around $47.
We ordered at the counter, paid and sat down to wait. When it was brought to our table the food was in bags and plastic containers as if it was a carry out order. We had to unbag it and eat.
We won't be going back. Not worth it. Perhaps my expectations were too high. The whole place had an air of the employees just going through the motions.

Read moreI am on the board of a local non-profit organization (The Whale Foundation, supports the wellness of the Grand Canyon river community). We hired My Pita to cater our annual fundraiser, The Wing Ding and they did a fantastic job. From the start, Hannah and Michael were available to answer questions. Michael worked with me to customize our order and make sure we had plenty of options and food. I even made a last minute request for pita (& I personally know last minute requests are not ideal), they cheerfully said yes and made it happen. The day of the event Michael called to let me know their arrival time, the crew (including the owner, Hannah) showed up with everything we needed and made themselves available for set up (we had many volunteers so didn't need but greatly appreciated the availability). We fed about 400 people in total and there was plenty of food! We had several folks with dietary issues and we were easily able to offer many options thanks to the variety offered by My Pita. Feed back from the crowd was extremely positive. My Pita was very professional, courteous and I would not hesitate to use them in the future. Thank you to the entire staff for pulling this off...
