Have been buying Donna’s donuts for many years. Something changed, and not for the better .The stick donuts are no longer individual donuts; they’re made as a sheet cake and then cut into donuts. This exposes the cake sides which dry out; donuts should be cooked on all sides. The taste is still there, but the quality has gone downhill. The cream filled sticks are not cream filled. See the below picture as it was a disappointing trip. I even took a friend there for the first time and boasted about the donuts and now I have to call her and apologize for the let down. The nutty donut I bought was half good and half was almost raw dough. Strange that only half was cooked fully through. I couldn’t even eat the other half. Can’t vouch for the other donuts I bought as they are frozen. It won’t be eaten until later date. Hope I’m not disappointed with those as well. It really pains me to give a bad review after boasting so highly of the donuts!

We went to Donna's Donuts last Saturday about 8:40 am. It was lined up to the doors/exit. They have bank style lines that wind in the store. There were only 2 ladies working the counter, but they were quick. We bought 3 dozen, the cost was over$70+. It is $23.40 per baker's dz now. It's $1.95 per donut. The order was good except 5 chocolate covered cake Donuts were missed even though I'd read them from my list. With 3 big boxes of Donuts, we didn't notice until we were back out in Lapeer!

We do love the nutty donut while in Michigan. In a different area today and we’re recommended Donna’s. Very clean spot and happy employees. We enjoyed the nutty but the other donuts just didn’t have the flavors that worked for me. The moon rock, and cinnamon roll looked great, just lacking depth. Presentation was great and the smiles were great down to 4 stars just looking for more flavor. If in the area and needing a donut I wouldn’t hesitate this place.

Visited this location on a Sunday morning in grab some donuts for The family. Wasn't until I got home and realized they charge a fee when you use your debit card. I've noticed more businesses doing this however I still don't accept it. This is part of doing business and the owner needs to absorb these costs in one way or another , other than passing on to the consumer. It is by choice that this establishment has chosen to accept debit cards as a form of payment. they need to discuss their terms and percentage they pay for the p.o.s system With whoever provides that service for them. Now when you factor in the cost they are charging per customer times how many transactions per day I guarantee you they are making money on this transaction on the fee alone. They need to let the customer be aware of this before they process the card and offer them to pay with cash or in my opinion have this publicly displayed. I'm not complaining about the product as it is always fresh and in good taste however I am complaining about the way businesses choose to pass on the expenses they are to incur while doing business. Be aware of this , as they are not the only business that seems to be doing this but however as consumers we do have a voice and we need to be heard. This does persuade my decision to make purchases. Last time I checked donuts are not a necessity, they are a luxury. And in life we can always do...

Donna's has the hands down BEST donuts in the county. Great customer service and open super early to super late. My empathy goes out to the young girl with super short hair working behind the counter on the weekends. I feel like every time I come in on a weekend (busiest days for business) this girl is ALWAYS by her self behind the counter, having to serve massive lines solo and so somehow manages to keep a positive attitude and not let it stress her out. Either they are super short on employees or the person doing schedule clearly doesn't work weekends 🤦 .. may I suggest scheduling one or more employees on the weekend maybe? ...this also tends to effect business. As there are a number of customers who see the line with only one person working, then decide to turn around and leave. ...I understand most businesses are short on employees, but when most complaints are the line wait due to one employee...shouldn't that be when the managers or owners step in and help their few reliable employees that do show dedication but are getting overwhelmed by impatient customers? 🤔🤷 I really wanted to just wash my hands, jump back there and help her. Even told her if I could, I would bag/box em up and she cashed out. But I know that would have been frowned upon so I didn't. I still Love this place as many others do. I just empathize for the shortage of staff. I'm available on weekends if this message didn't...

Our whole family (and office) love Danna's Doughnuts. You can taste that they're freshly made and crafted just the way they should be. The icing for example is a real sugar icing that actually forms a crystal crunch on the surface after they've wet out for a few hours. It's a long ways away from that form syrup icing you'd get from somewhere like Dunkin doughnuts and Tim Hortons.

They also have an absolutely massive variety to choose from. They have more fillings in their bismarks than you would believe. My personal favorite is the apple filled which has diced apples in the jelly and the icing it's sprinkled with a little cinnamon sugar.

The only thing that's a little odd (and is as much a positive as it is a negative sometimes) is a fact that they are open something like 18 hours a day. Which means that you won't have a problem getting your fix early in the morning, particularly nice for all of the local gm employees. But it also means that they produce some flavors on a schedule. Their "moon rocks" (bear claws) are produced late at night, and I personally find them to be a little too hard by the time you'd eat them in the morning. (The real sugar that they're drenched in hardens into a shell) Which is a shame, but there are pleanty others to love.

If you haven't tried them go give them a shot, and be sure to grab your rewards card for...
