New restaurant open 5 days at this point. There is some stuff they need to work on. All in all not a terrible visit. I dunno if we would go back and sit down to eat. MAYBE takeout If you go here you need to know: 1- That they are brand new still working out some kinks, service is slower than expected for a new business trying to get their feet under them. 2- If you are ordering to go walk in to the left and stand in line. If dining in stand awkwardly by the door and prepare to wait until someone feels like seating you. 3- Ask what comes in your bowl.

Our first time here we arrived at 1230. There was no greeter or anyone at the door so we got in line to the left and waited in line for about 10 minutes till we got to place the order. The gentleman at the register area said if we were dining in we needed to go wait by the door. So we went and wait by the door and the crowd of people. Noticing several unbussed tables.

1255pm - We were sat down at a table, ordered drinks

103- got Drinks and placed our order. Gyoza, Angry crayfish roll, filet roll, tuna nigiri, bang bang shrimp bowl. Still 3 dirty tables since we walked in Soft slow classical music not setting the atmosphere well.....I was ready for a nap

109pm - lady busses her own table, one that had been uncleanness since we walked in.

112pm- get gyoza, it was this point we realized they never asked fried or steam. Came fried with chili sauce. Which is ok I prefer fried anyways :)

116pm - Tables still dirty second set of people take to buss their own table. 3 tables dirty still from when we sat down

122pm - bang bang shrimp bowl came out. Flavor is good but food is lukewarm. Funfair the bowl coms with corn in it. Not a traditional rice bowl. Shrimp is crispy, sauce is good.. Rice is eh. Not sticky rice like I was expecting given its a sushi place

129pm - Sushi came out. Legit af

134pm - Nigiri came out. A little more room temp than I care for it to be but the fish was great. Rice was perfect

140pm - Same 3 tables still dirty 145pm - Asked for check 150pm - Paid on large calculator type thingy at table

153pm- Tables still dirty as we are...

Terrible food dont waste your money like we did .it’s not real hibachi it’s Chinese food not Japanese !if I wanted Chinese I would go to a Chinese restaurant but I wanted hibachi Japanese food instead I got Chinese .if your hibachi has sweet carrots and brown sauce on chicken it’s Chinese food people ! Very sweet mushy rice and veggies like they were overly microwaved. They give you more rice than meat for expensive price . Very dissatisfied and all these fake positive reviews are pushed to top and they push down to hide the real reviews that tell the food sucks and is way overpriced !Food is not Japanese style hibachi it is Chinese version of hibachi .paid $78 for our food over the phone for takeout and even asked lady on phone is it Chinese or Japanese style before I ordered and she said she didn’t know . I asked her if it had carrots and brown sauce in it.didn’t give me honest answer because we ended up throwing food away because they couldn’t tell me truth.crab Rangoon is oily egg rolls soaked in grease . Worst Chinese food I ever ate because it wasn’t hibachi ! $78 of our hard working dollars of Chinese food went into the trash just because girl on phone acted like she didn’t know what was asking . Never go to this Chinese...

Food was phenomenal for multiple reasons.

-Portions are HUGE; for the quality, you would think they might try to save a little on quantity, but that's not the case. You get a LOT of REALLY good food. -Flavors and spices are powerful, but not overwhelming. The hot menu items had a little heat, but nothing to cause problems for someone with a low tolerance.

The atmosphere is also stupendous for the money you're paying. Very classy woodwork, modern signing, and plenty of amenities to make your visit more than comfortable.

The only reason I took a star away was the slow service when it was NOT busy. I specifically dined in during the opening hour when it is the least busy, and I can confirm there were only a couple other customers besides my table. It took FOREVER to get our order taken. Luckily drinks came quickly, but it was a significant gap of time between getting drinks and FINALLY placing our order.

Overall, a fantastic dining experience and I 100% plan on...

On a business trip from Houston, Konnichiwa was recommended by some locals. We started with pork egg rolls (cooked perfectly, great flaky crust). We ordered the filet bento plate - with noodles (steak was good - we asked medium rare but received more medium well, the noodles were the highlight of the plate, not sure what sauce they're using but the flavor was very nice). We ordered 2 sushi rolls, the filet roll, and Mr crab roll. The rice was perfect!! We've had a LOT of sushi, for being a very unsuspecting small restaurant, they've absolutely perfected cooking the rice!! For that alone, they deserve to have a line out the door. Great job, Konnichiwa!!

This is THE place to get sushi!! We drove from Georgetown SC to meet friends here for dinner, and were not disappointed!! I would gladly make the drive to come back and eat here. There were 4 of us in our group for dinner last Friday night, and it took about 10 minutes to get sat, and 10 minutes to be greeted by our server, but we didn’t mind because the restaurant was PACKED. All our food came out QUICK for how busy it was, and it was all so great. Can’t wait to come back! Here’s pictures of our food.. we got so much I don’t quite remember what each item was. 😅 The big square plate is a ribeye bento box, and the round bowl is a ribeye and chicken bowl!
