stopped for lunch, ordered the cashew chicken, and was disappointed to find that the cashews were almost non existent. Service not being that great, server did a drive by hollerin '..need anything else?' I wasn't going to holler back "where the hades are the cashews?' When the check came I mentioned that for a dish to be advertised as a "cashew" dish, I seriouslt had to hunt for any cashews. that was met with a smile and a shrug.. No further communication and no attempt at reconciling my tables disappointment. As a service quality professional I expect more, even from an inexperienced server. If you don't know what to do, then refer to the manager. Let them visit the table so that they can attempt to bring some sort of satisfaction to the customer and not risk losing thier business....or having to deal with a review like this. My partner at the table was willing to accept the deficiency, both in the dish and the service. BUT if we all do that then service and quality of food will continue to decline and you will have no one to blame but yourself. In terms of psychology, it is denoted as satisficing. Taking what ever you get and accepting the failings. That wasn't my intention on leaving the house that day, nor will it be in the future. I do not enter a restaurant with a " I'll iake whatever ya got and I'll even wait patietly for that misgiving...pay the asking price and tip at the premium rate cause I'm that kinda fool". I won't be back to that establishment and I suggest that others avoid it in favor of a restaurant that still belives that the customer expereince is the...
Read moreI love the breakfast. The prices are great for the amount you get. The only thing I hate is the setup. It was packed, crowded, and a bit loud the few times I went. I also sat for 20 minutes waiting for someone to take my order and the family sitting next to me had been there before me and was still waiting along with me. After my order was taken, I barely saw that waitress again unless she was passing by going elsewhere. I actually had to stop her a few times. Additionally, while waiting, I watched the greeter (Asian girl) at the front stand and talk/flirt to some guy the entire hour I was there, maybe a little longer. She could've been helping someone too but she was too busy laughing and talking with some guy. Lastly, the tables, floors, and chairs where I sat was filthy. My coffee mug appeared to be dirty too. My waitress was so unfocused that the cook still put cheese in my eggs after I said I didn't want any. I like the food, but hate the environment. If you can order out, do so, the price for the food is good; however, I do question sanitation a bit. Otherwise, I definitely won't be spending my money to eat in again and definitely won't be leaving a tip for someone who did nothing. She hardly did the bare minimum and what she did do...
Read moreWe stopped here on our way to get a minI vacation. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits.. nothing spectacular or even good , but certainly well executed Considering the simple flavor profile. My father in law got the curry skillet which looked yellow, duh curry. And he said it tasted ok. The staff was nice, when they weren't having obnoxiously Loud conversation across the room. It appeared to be clean and at least smelled decent. But I didn't like a thing on my plate. The chicken wings were said to be Asian style.. which as a stupid american, I thought wold be slathered in soy sauce. No, they were just grossly fried. The French Toast was literally battered french toast. And the egg, which was simply over hard as requested, was off putting in taste. I really can't fathom how you can mess up a fried egg.. I won't be back. Luckily the prices are low so i didn't blow that much money. I told the waitress my food was fine, because honestly, I don't think anything else would have been any better....
