I ordered a family meal via the mobile app. I ordered at 6:30pm for a 6:55pm pick up. I go through the drive through. Mind you, I have always done this and the app says you can. I waited 15 minutes to get to the speaker. I let the employee know that I have a mobile order. He proceeds to say “come inside”. I said what? I have to come inside? He says “yes come inside”. I ask why? I’ve waited 15 minutes for my mobile order. The employee does not respond. I then proceed to say “hello is anyone there”? No response. At this point, I’m upset at the lack of professionalism. I also have my two kids in the car. So I park and go in. I have to wait more because others are in front of me. Once I speak to the female employee and let her know I’m here for a mobile order, she tells me they don’t have spicy chicken and I’ll need to wait. Unacceptable I ordered this food 40 minutes ago at the point and have waited for 20. I say no I have already waited long enough and he (pointing to the male employee) told me I had to come inside to get my food even though the app says I do not have too. I proceed to ask for regular chicken. My comment made the male employee angry. He then starts a verbal argument with me. Screaming at me. Telling me I have to come inside for the mobile order, don’t I see how busy they are, I should get a different job. I said what are you talking about a job? He said door dash don’t door dash then. I do not work for door dash. I am raising my voice back at this point because I am not going to be disrespected for food I am paying for. And also why insult door dash workers?! Anyways I let him know I’ll be making a corporate complaint and he said good cause we have cameras in here. I said great so they can see how inappropriate you are with your customers. That was the end of it. But he walked around irritated telling the female staff member to turn off mobile orders and cursing underneath his breath. Never going back and I made a...
Read moreAs I pulled through the drive thru, the digital menu was down, I did the best to place my order, but you could tell the staff was overwhelmed and distracted, leaving multiple times through out the order. After 10 minutes placing the order, I spent an additional 20 minutes waiting, I did a quick check once I got my food, to make sure it was right. Upon getting home, I realized that failed to provide me with a receipt. I then realized they didn’t give me my side additional order of gravy, instead, they gave me rice and beans, in which I didn’t want. I called to get a receipt and verify that my total was correct, after two minutes of trying to figure out how to print the receipt, I was left on the phone. After 5 minutes, I hung up and I went to the store in person. I requested for my receipt, after another 10 minutes and visually upset staff finally gave me my receipt. After requesting for a full refund, they said they can’t do that, then I said ok just give me the $6 rice refund, they said ok, but I have to bring the rice back, in which I wasn’t going home to get. I then requested the managers number after they were verbally rude and not wanting to deal with the issues. I was provided a disconnected number and told to call the manager Monday. I instead told them I’d reach out to corporate and left. I understand the load that the staff was under, in large part, this is a reflection of poor management and leadership. I was patient during the entire time, but after a while, during the experience, many people were leaving. This location needs to be shut down and is not a good representation of its brand. Not setting the staff up for success, is a dis-service to them and ultimately will lead to complete failure. I thank you staff for their efforts, but this was not a good place to buy food, especially when I spent $35.07, in which I now want a full refund and won’t...
Read moreI went through the drive-thru and ordered some sandwiches. No issues here and the store was not very busy. When I got to the window to pay, I was asked to pull forward that they were waiting on the chicken to cook. There was already a car in front of me and they had to get him to pull forward even more to allow me space to park. He did and I pulled up behind him. After waiting several minutes I started checking my time wondering how long I had been waiting. I checked my receipt and determined I had waited 15 minutes already. The car in front of me was also still waiting. I went inside and asked about my order and handed the guy my receipt. He goes to the back and comes back after a minutes of so with my three sandwiches and places them in a bag. With a blank stare and not even a thank you (much less a "sorry for the wait") he hands me the bag. I had to ask to get my receipt back and again, another blank stare and nothing else. I left and headed towards home. The first sandwich I ate on the way home and it was fine. Later, I bit into the second sandwich. The first bite, mostly bread and breading tasted fine. The second bit tasted TERRIBLE. The chicken had the texture of rubber and it was clearly undercooked. The rest was thrown away. This was not the first time Popeye's seemed to have no idea how to run a restaurant, but those trips at least had decent food if / when I ever received it. This was very different. When the expensive food they sell cannot even be eaten, they have serious problems.
I filled out a Popeye's survey using the back of the receipt's instructions and asked to be contacted about the issues but have never heard anything from Popeye's. They obviously do not care. This will undoubtedly be my last trip to the pitfully-run "restaurants." I'd urge anyone else thinking of eating there to...
