I visited Susy's on black Friday. The Conversation with the owner (thats who she said she was) was very friendly and nice. Also the atmosphere she has going on in the shop is beautiful.
She informed me that they were still bouncing back from thanksgiving (they were very busy the prior day and didnt have everything on the shelves according to her). Still even after having a busy day prior they had ALOT to offer.
I ended up getting the churro and Oreo cheese cake, two concha's and a ice coffee. Can I just say those two cheesecakes are AMAZING while a lot of people complain about the prices, hers are worth it! The caramel on the churro cheesecake is so good and doesnt make you hate yourself after eating it and the Oreo has a nice fluffy texture. The Concha had the right mixture of sweet and savory.
I highly recommend giving this place a try next time you're in Florence. (also before you think this is like a "bot" typing this its not, I dont normally leave reviews but when I do its for a...
Read moreI love this bakery shop! I stumbled upon Susy's Cakes by accident and I'm so glad I did because her treats are remarkably delicious! I first tried the Biscoff cheesecake and oh my goodness, it was PERFECTION. The coffee I had with it was great as well. My most recent stop in was today and I chose some slices of cake to try with my coworkers: the tres leches, chocoflan, carrot cake, and the chocolate layer. All were amazing, as I expected. The shop itself is also as cute as can be, if you've got the time I suggest having your coffee and dessert in their dining area to really get the experience. 10 out 10 I highly recommend this bakery whether you're getting a little something for yourself or need catering...
Read moreHad a sweet tooth and Googled desserts near me and this place popped up. The pictures looked amazing plus they have Tres Leches cake. The shop is cute when you walk in with a few tables and chairs. Unfortunately took about 5 minutes for someone to come from the. Back to help. The cases were nothing like the website. Very few choices and cheese cakes looked a little wilted. Ordered Tres Leches to eat in store and was served in a box with plastic spoon. Asked for a glass of water and was expected to buy a bottle of Fiji water. I love Trea Leches but was disappointed. The cake was definitely moist, but had no flavor - for $8 a slice. I ordered cheesecake to take home and hope it will not be...
