I reserved and confirmed my non smoking room for my wife and I's 5 year anniversary 2 weeks in advance. We decided to come down on Thursday and the plan was I was going to get off work early so we can get down there and relax and not have to get up early and head down. We had our Aunt book the room for us, as she gets a nice discount, and wanted to bless us with a good start to our extended weekend getaway. Well, I ended up not being able to get off early, so I called to confirm our room, told them that we would be a super late check in, but that we would be there, and they said that would not be a problem, that our room would be ready when we get there. So we make the long trek to get there, and finally get there. We pay for our room for the next 3 days, and we go on our way. We get to our room and cards don't work. Come to find out, they over booked all the non smoking rooms and gave our room away AFTER I called to make sure it would be there. We kept trying to figure out if the hotel would be willing to do anything for us, as we got a really good rate on the room, and couldn't afford anything else. They told us they could only offer us a smoking room. Needless to say I was very upset about this, as my wife and I both have very sensitivity to smoke, my wife has asthma and a heart condition and she didn't bring her rescue inhaler. I kept trying to ask and see if maybe they could work out a deal with a neighboring hotel, so maybe they would price match but they wasn't willing to do anything except offer us a smoking room. It being that late, we had no choice. We find out they did this to 2 other couples that night. We spent our first night miserable in this smoke filled room, both of our sensitivities flaring up and we got absolutely no sleep. Needless to say, this was a very bad way to start off our 5th anniversary getaway, and in the morning I went down to talk to the manager. The manager was very rude, just said sorry, and when I asked when we would be able to switch rooms, he told me 11am -noon. Needless to say, we wanted to shower and get the smoke stench off of us and had to wait around half a day to try to get a room. I was very unhappy about this, and I asked for a reimbursement for this horrible experience, at least for this ruined night and half a day waiting around for them to fix THEIR mistake, and he absolutely refused. He told me if you didn't like it you could have went somewhere else. I tried to explain I couldn't go somewhere else, my discount rate and certificate for said rate only works on that hotel, and that is why we picked it, thats why we reserved it, and that's why I called in ahead to make sure we would have a room. Like, if I knew they was overbooked, I would have just told them we would have came up Friday morning. But we had a paid reservation. I asked him if there was anyone to talk to, like the owner, or corporate, as I refuse to believe that there is nothing at all they would be willing to do, since we still had another 2 nights there. He told me nope, I'm the owner, and the manager, and I'm telling you that we don't give refunds even if its our mistake. I said, and what about corporate? He said, "I'm a stand alone hotel, and they have no say so on what I do." This has been the worse experience I have ever had in my entire life dealing with hotels, and I'm going to be looking for any way possible to dispute this charge. You can't force someone into a room after they already paid for a non smoking room and not expect some type of reimbursement to be made. Come to find out , they have done this every night that we have been here to several other families. I have heard every night families outside upset and have talked to several of those families. I have seen a total of at least 6 families this has happened to since we have been here for 3 days. I can only imagine it has happened to even more than that. So disappointed in the largest way. Corporate will be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were in town for the 4th of July and although didn't plan to stay overnight we are SO happy that we did!! From the fantastic customer service over the phone to the amazing price for the room we will DEFINITELY be staying here again!!!
We had 1 of the king size bed rooms and upon entering there is a large older style desk and a oversized dresser with I believe 8 drawers....a mini fridge with microwave on tip beside the dresser. The full size bottles in the shower of shampoo/conditioner and body wash were a fantastic touch to the room! Full size bottle of lotion on the wall by the sink......I wasn't expecting much from any of the products as even the luxury hotels don't have the best of quality, BUT these products smelled great, left our skin smelling amazing/soft and my husband even used the shampoo (I didn't) and said it did great š! The bed.....although an older style mattress it was very comfortable and the multiple pillows were an added great touch as well!
The front desk staff were very friendly, informative and amazing! I have never been able to do a walk-in check-in at a hotel before and definitely have never had such a speedy check-in! From the moment I walked in to signing the paper I don't think I was in there 5 mins āŗļø
There is hit coffee and tea options in the lobby as well as drinks and snacks for purpose in a cooler.....no breakfast as other people have stated, however that was the least of our worries. We were told there is a pool in the back of the hotel but we never made it back there to check it out.
All in all.....this was an EXCEPTIONAL experience with an amazing price, comfortable bed and great air conditioned (super cold) room!!!
Thank you again Days Inn in...

We unfortunately booked a smoking room in error and it cost an extra $10 to change at check in. Swimming pool is just outside of front reception. The laundry room with ice machine are around the corner by swimming pool. (Key card is needed for entry). Free breakfast is served in dining area off of reception area. Breakfast consists of toast, cereal, bananas, coffee, apple & orange juice, milk, tea, waffles (there are two waffle makers and the waffles were delicious!). Room was clean. Mini fridge, microwave,Ā hairdryer available. During this time Days Inn is going through some renovation on top floors it appears. Rolls of old carpeting and cupboards were launched off the top floors right outside of our room. There was no caution tape or detour to protect the guests (us!) from possibly being hit by any of this. Every time we walked to or from parking lot, we were extremely vigilant in making sure no debris was coming down on us. Only one time when were outside of or our room did we actually witness a roll of carpet come down from the upper floor. Overall, our stay here was fine. The location is easily accessible in a quiet area, yet dining options are nearby. If you deem this review helpful please...
