Stayed at a local hotel during our motorcycle ride to the Keys. We were hot, tired and hungry and looked for something close to walk to. Across the parking lot we could see the sign for this restaurant, score. We were warmly greeted by the staff and you walk to counter to make you order. They then bring your food to your table. This is a small family owned seafood restaurant. While waiting for food, various servers would come by to refill our drinks. I had the small fried fish platter (boiled and broiled also available) made up of two large pieces of snapper and 10 large shrimp, delicious! Our friend (not a seafood lover) had a chicken alfredo, yes they have it, and she said it was awesome. A wonderful young lady named Augie stopped to check on us. Her family owns the business and told us that they first opened just before Covid hit. They barely survived closure and restricted reopening. They apparently are doing better now since they were quite busy with a large local following. With the great tasting food with large servings along with good prices, I anticipate that they will continue to do well. If you are ever in the area, this is a must stop for some good food. Also if you are staying in a local hotel, they will give you a...
Read moreFound this place while having a craving for some shrimp and crab.....I thought this place was my heaven sent but it turned out to be anything but. The 1st time coming here the food was AWESOME!!!! It was so good I was actually crying while I was eating it, it was delicious 😋. Then fast forward weeks later in the even time I placed a order and realized it wasn't the same something was off. It didn't taste like how the 1st meal I had there was. Then I came back a 3rd brought the shrimp and crab meal along with a sandwich. This is where I drew the line to say IM DONE IM NOT EVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN!!!!! The sandwich for that price is just RIDICULOUSLY over priced. The fish not seasoned at all, the fries nothing special about them. This food is something I coulda made myself for half the price. For these prices you would expect to get something worth wild but its not. There's a new restaurant opening soon in Homestead on 8th Street that I'll check out, from what I hear this place is better and the prices are reasonable! Maybe its just that restaurant, but they need to definitely need to up they recipes and seasonings, cuz they giving CRAB BROIL a...
Read moreThere have been several seafood boil restaurants that have popped up around my area over the past couple of years. I decided to try Krab Kingz. I am so happy I did! The Dungeness crab cluster (one half of a big ole Dungeness crab) and shrimp (I think it was 10 - 15 large shrimp deveined) boil with Cajun garlic flavor was sooo delicious! The price for the boil and a 16oz fountain beverage was under $50, which is great in comparison to other seafood boil places that charge over $50 just for the boil with a Dungeness crab cluster, no shrimp, no vegetables and eggs, and no beverage. The seasoning in the boil had fresh chopped garlic and the seafood was super fresh! The Dungeness crab had plenty of meat! There was plenty of the boil sauce to dip your food in, keeping it marinated with that great Cajun garlic flavor! I also added corn, potatoes, and two whole eggs into the boil; sooo tasty! It was so good, I was getting the itis while I was eating lol 😆 I left really full and satisfied 👌🏽 I will continue to be a regular supporter of this business. The quality of the food, customer service, and environment is top notch! 10 out...
