This is a KFC/Taco Bell. They were out of Chalupa shells and when we asked if they had something similar the cashier suggested crunchy tacos and I heard her suggest that to several other customers that tried ordering them as well. If you've ever had a Chalupa maybe you'd agree that they aren't similar. When we began ordering off the kfc menu instead, the cashier seemed really confused about the menu. She came off kind of rude until we asked her about herself then she immediately lit up and became very cheerful. We ended up ordering 2 famous bowls and received 3 instead, all were given to us without gravy. When I went back up to the counter to ask for some gravy, there was a girl that was "working" the drive thru and looked directly at me and pulled out her phone and began texting. I quote working because literally every time I looked at her she was either texting on her phone or leaning on something and yawning. I never saw her do work once. The manager came up to me and I asked him for a cup of gravy. He went to go get me one and started looking around then came back to me and told me no one had made any and that they were out but it only takes a few seconds to make and he'd bring it out to our table, which he did and apologized. They seem over staffed and all of them were working at a very show pace. Someone else came in right after us with a wrong order so it seems to happen very frequently. The bathrooms were disgusting. There was pee and a little turd nugget on the floor and there was grime all over everything. It looked like it hadn't been scrubbed thoroughly in a very long time. With the amount of employees working I know they have to use the bathrooms and see how filthy they are. The counter at the soda machine was coated with soda syrup and looked like it hadn't been wiped down at all that day. They had also ran out of small lids by the self serve soda fountain but they had some behind the counter. Just seems really run down and...
Read moreWe got into a hotel at 6. We did drive through both times. My wife knew she wanted to eat at KFC but I didn't know where I want to eat. Hers look so good I decided I would like go back and get mine from this KFC. I don't know what happened between the hour that I was there picking up her food and mine but the chicken I was served an hour later was so dry I couldn't eat it. It was terribly overcooked. And the biscuit was so hard and dry it crumbled in my hand like hard tac. So why didn't I go back and complain? Cuz of all the horror stories you hear of fast food people doing stuff to your food when one complains. I am going to call the morning manager before we leave though and let him/her know. I didn't get to eat last night and wouldn't recommend this place as well as write...
Read moreThis KFC in Florida City is conveniently located along US1, making it a great stop if you're traveling or nearby. There’s plenty of parking and a spacious seating area, which is always a plus. What’s interesting is that it also shares the space with a Taco Bell, so you get two options in one place.
The food is what you’d expect from KFC—crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. The staff is okay—they serve your food properly, but nothing particularly standout in terms of service.
Overall, a solid choice for a quick meal, especially if you’re on the road and need a familiar stop with good food and...
