Great Upkeep For an Extended Stay I booked this property to stay in on Expedia. My stay consisted of 5 days and 6 nights. The location could not have been more productive of a great stay. There are several shopping centres eateries. Upon arriving on the premise, I noticed their clean parking lot and shaped landscape. There is even a souvenir shop at the front manned by a lovely older man. Check-in was simple and fast. The hotel is based on a motel feel, meaning you enter your room from outside. The inside of the room did not look as if it was a motel if that makes sense. I have included a picture of their bathroom. It was so very comfortable and the water remained hot. The flooring was tile and our bedding felt like a grade of Seely of some sort. The only downside (if I am to be a stickler) was the loudness of the A/C unit. There was a 30 or 35 inch flat screen television with ShoTime. Ample towels. I need to talk about the housekeeping staff. It felt like they worked on an almost 24/7 basis. They were consistent and friendly (no scowls at least). Breakfast time lasted from 600 am to 1000 which I liked very much because some days I did not feel like waking so early to catch breakfast. It consisted of a variety of grains mostly (cereal muffin, fresh toasted bread, belgian waffles) and yogurt and banana and oranges and eggs with fresh orange juice coffee or milk. The same items everyday.

The first thing I check is for room cleanliness as it's VERY important to me when I'm traveling and choosing a place to stay. The beds were thankfully clean and had no signs of insect life. The bathroom was in need of a SIGNIFICANT upgrade. Additionally, it was quite filthy. Dirt, grime, and mold could easily be seen throughout the cracks, crevices, and frankly everywhere. The WORST part about my bathroom experience was the shower handle which awesomely fell off while I tried to adjust the water. See photo. I then was forced to take a cold shower because I couldn't frankly adjust anything. Also, in the photo you can see dirt and someone else's body hair lying on the side of the tub. Freaking gross. If a hotel wants people to pay big boy/girl prices for a short stay, then you better UPGRADE your facilities and offer a super clean facility. Luckily for them, we couldn't find a nicer hotel chain that wasn't fully booked in a 90 mile radius. In no means am I cheap but I wouldn't ordinarily have paid over $80 for this place. $200 plus a night for these facilities is a joke.

Pros…outside parking area is very clean and well lit. Cons…when I got into my room, I noticed one bed was not made and there were no soaps or supplies. It was after midnight, I called the front desk, which I had to call using my cell phone as their phone in the room did not work. The gentleman told me to come down to the front desk to get all the supplies. Could not believe they wanted me to do their job. So he came down to my room and gave me another key card for a different room. That room was all made up, but not very clean. There was a long black hair in the bathtub which definitely was not mine. The second day that hair was still there so obviously they don’t clean the bathtub. if you want hot water for a shower, turn it on about 10 minutes before you need it and then it’s about 150°.

🚨 WARNING: DO NOT STAY HERE. EVER. 🚨 This review is for Fairway Inn – Florida City, FL and if I could give this place zero stars, I would.

This hotel needs to be shut down immediately. What I experienced here was beyond unprofessional — it was harassment, privacy violations, and health hazards.

⸻

🛑 MAJOR ISSUES I EXPERIENCED: • A female staff member (Hindu woman in a black hat driving a black Benz) entered my room while I was sleeping — without knocking, no permission, no warning. My son had to wake me up. • After they invaded my privacy, they had the audacity to refuse to let me stay another night when I tried to pay. • Room 404 had mold, mildew, and I was even locked in the bathroom. • A shower light fell on another guest’s head. • Staff accused us of leaving the room “too dirty” — that’s your job to clean, not a reason to harass customers. • Ongoing disrespect, harassment, and unfair treatment from the staff every day. • No professionalism, no communication, just cold stares, tension, and weird behavior that made us feel targeted and unwanted.

⸻

🧟‍♀️ STAFF BEHAVIOR: • The woman running the front desk acted more like a prison guard than hotel staff. • She was rude, invasive, and clearly does not belong in hospitality. • I was treated like a problem, not a paying guest. • When I tried to calmly extend my stay, they refused payment and told me to leave, despite already having my deposit.

⸻

🌴 ONLY THING GOOD? The landscaping. The grass was neat. That’s it.

⸻

📉 FINAL WARNING:

Fairway Inn is not a place you want to bring your family. It’s not even a place you want to spend one night. Between the unsafe conditions, disrespect, and serious privacy violations, this place should not be allowed to operate.

➡️ If you care about basic safety, dignity, and being treated like a human being: STAY FAR AWAY FROM FAIRWAY INN.

You’ve been warned. I hope this review saves someone else from going through what we...

The hotel as itself is good. The hotel room is spacious. Inside the room there are the bed, a table with a TV, a desk with a chair, the shower, and a hair dryer. In front of the room but outside there is a pool, and picnic tables with umbrellas. But the lobby service is very poor. The doors are close at 10:00pm, and then they offer service through a small window. There is not breakfast at all, there is only coffee until 10:00 pm. But the manager George, the supervisor Kathy, and Sandra, and a lady at the front desk whose name is Crystal are the worst. They even know how to run a business, a hotel. The manager believes everything that Kathy says instead of make sure by himself that whatever Kathy is saying is true. In other words, if Kathy lies against to you with the manager, you are going to be affected by that. Also, they do not have in order how whom are going to leave, and whom are going to stay in the hotel the next morning. Both of them instead of knocking the door, and wait for you to open it, they open the door for you to see if you still are inside the room, and with just a "sorry" they think that these situation is going to be missed. I stayed in this hotel from Sunday, March 30th, 2025 to Friday, April 4th, 2025. At the begging during the first 2 nights I was in the room 113, where a piece of the wall from the shower falls down. Then, the lobby moved meto the room 114 where the TV was not working, and then I was moved again to the room 115, where the A/C was frozen. I had to take pictures of everything, and show them to the lobby in order to make them to change me the room. At the end I left the hotel today 04/04/2025. They do not request you a deposit to rent the hotel room, but inside the room there is a note saying what is the price that they are going to charge to you bank card for each item that is damaged...
