Top Taste Jamaican Restaurant — Restaurant in Florida City

THE REVIEWS are very misleading. I ordered $17 small meal (Brown Stew Chicken) and had it delivered to my job for lunch. The food was lukewarm and barely had flavor. It was not FRESH and taste as it was made days ago & reheated in the microwave. I am very particular about my food, flavors and money! They could have at least provided FRESH HOT CHICKEN. Now I have to spend more money to get LUNCH that actually is fresh and hot.

*Update ------------ 2024 February. I tried this place again after eating some of my daughters JERK CHICKEN. Omg, such a major difference. It was absolutely delicious. I had to order me some jerk chicken the very next day and I also had some of the JERK PORK. It was by far the best jerk pork I had in a long time . So tender and seasoned. Amazing turn around from my first visit

Horrible, Dry, Overcooked chicken and stale rice! The jerk chicken wasn’t hot or spicy. It just tasted like old baked chicken from 2 days prior! The rice was hard and over cooked or either old! Top Taste Jamaican Restaurant, mi deh yah fi support unuh fi over four years now, anytime mi want a likkle taste a yard, a yah so mi forward. But today? Mi haffi talk di truth—mi extremely disappointed!

Mi order two large jerk chicken wid rice and peas and plantain. Normally, unuh serve it wid salad, but dis time mi nuh see no salad inna di box. Mi look pon di portion and mi affi wonder if a large mi really pay fah, cause di food look like a medium at best. But di worst part? Mi deh deh a watch mi server inna di Jamaican hat and mi si him put mi food inna microwave—inna di same Styrofoam container! Mi nearly drop dung.

Mi run multiple restaurants from South Florida straight down to di Keys, and mi woulda never disrespect mi customers so. Food must be served fresh, not microwave up like leffover. Mi ask bout di fried chicken, and di man come serve mi four piece a cold chicken inna di middle a di day—1:30PM, when food suppose to fresh and hot!

When Top Taste first started out in their family owned business, their food was GREAT. Over the years their standard has DROPPED TREMENDOUSLY. Just yesterday I was reminded why I had stopped purchasing my food at that establishment. I ordered a red been soup. In placing the order I mentioned to the individual who took the order (will not name in public) that I did not want any beef in my soup and to please leave out a certain provision and to replace with other items. In summation, when my order arrived it was HORRIBLE. I threw the contents in the garbage. The soup was as watery as ever ( as though they were feeding a multitude of individuals and had to stretch the soup). No taste.. simply HORRID. Their Jamaican patties are also awful. The ground beef is as watery as can be. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND TOP TASTE RESTAURANT TO ANYONE.
