WAITRESS PRETENDED TO BE VICTIM OF TROPICAL STORM DEBBY FOR TIPS. I had to cut my experience down because there is a word limit on reviews. Long story short a staff member of Pi who was out front chain smoking (classy) overheard my friends talking with another group of people that were leaving due to the rude bartender's inside. She comes up and tells us the bartender inside lost her home and animals to tropical storm Debby. Feeling terrible, (side note I haven’t even been in to order a drink myself yet) me and a lady from the other group went in I tipped a little over $50 and she said she tipped $30. Come to find out by someone else who came up to us and said that was completely false. When I confronted the first staff member who told us the lie she took off down the street, when I walked back in to ask the bartender if she accepted that money knowing the info I was given was false she screamed at me that she never told me that and that I needed to leave and never come back because I was drunk. Didn’t order a single drink there by the way… This is just disgusting behavior and that bartender and staff who condoned this behavior should be ashamed. After being kicked out I walked back in to take a brief video of the staff inside who condoned this behavior, most of them were sitting at the bar probably drinking on the job (classy.) I will attach a picture of the blonde bartender who accepted the money and her coworker who was also yelling. Be...
Read moreWe visited Siesta Key the first week of December and were in the mood for pizza. We chose Pi based on the good reviews and we were not disappointed! We ate in, but a heads up that the restaurant is SMALL! Only three tables inside aside from the bar. There is a very casual surf vibe, several TV's showing sporting events, and the bar was filled with locals. There was limited bar style seating outside as well. Parking is also extremely limited as the lot is small and shared with a couple other popular restaurants. During high season when Siesta Key is busy, I would highly recommend carry-out! My husband ordered the garlic parm wings and was impressed with how many there were and how meaty each wing was. The flavor was good and they were a great value for wings, which can tend to be expensive and not substantial at restaurants. We ordered the thick crust Sicilian style pizza with fresh tomato and basil. It was hot, flavorful and delicious! The crust was fluffy but with a good crisp base, just how I like Sicilian style thick crust. We were too full for dessert, but in the future, we have our eye on the Nutella dough dessert. If we find ourselves back in Siesta Key (which I hope we do), we will happily...
Read moreWhile on vacation in Siesta Key, I went to 3.14 Pi Craft Beer & Spirits in search of their renowned "1188" pizza. After searching forever for, and summarily "inventing" a parking spot, I discovered that Pi was closed... on a Friday afternoon... in Siesta Key. 🤔
Thinking something was strange, I appealed to a man who was chatting nearby about what might be going on. Timmy, who incidentally works there, was awesome and explained that they had an AC emergency and were not open yet and would not be until later that day. Despite the setback, Timmy was quick to jump into action.
Before I knew what was going on, Timmy introduced me to Steve who, far beyond my expectations, fired up the ovens and whipped up a pie worthy of a return trip in no time at all! The place was CLOSED!
With the deepest appreciation, I do not hesitate to say that the crew at 3.14 Pi Craft Beer & Spirits shines. Because of their attitude and attentiveness (and great pie), People like Timmy and Steve have made this my go-to pizza joint in Siesta Key from this day forward.
Thanks so much for all...
