Our time at the Beachside Villas was truly a hit or miss depending on the day. When we checked in Johnathan helped us and was very short, blunt, and not very welcoming.. however the next day we met Morgan and she was a DELIGHTFUL person. Morgan was so helpful in more ways than one, had a very outgoing personality and always made sure we had everything we needed. Morgan definitely was an excellent worker and showed great customer service by helping us with all of our needs! Morgan is most definitely the only reason we would consider returning back to the Villas! Our room was nice, we got a 1 bedroom queen suite, good and spacious however there wasn’t any tupperware or a can opener.. I would recommend packing that especially for days at the beach! Our MAIN issue with our room was the lights/fans in the bedroom and living room.. the lights/fans are bluetooth to a remote which is in every room so the people next to us would turn their light/fan off in the middle of the night and make our lights come on and cut the fan off.. it was doing the opposite so we were playing tag all night, literally almost every night and there was nothing anyone would do about it. Morgan did offer to bring us a box fan and that was so very helpful of her to try to come up with a solution for us and we really appreciated that! We also got a pool view room which I don’t recommend spending extra money on for that view bc it’s a VERY SMALL pool and IT FLOODS SO BAD around the pool when it rains that the water comes up to your door panel so your walking through about 2-3 inches of water. We said something about that and the answer we got was there was nothing they could do.. YOU DO HAVE TO PAY PARKING EVERYDAY even if it says it’s with your room, it’s not and its $10.75 a day. Overall we made the best of it, but I truly can say that it’s the first and last time we will be...
Read moreAfter researching hotels in Siesta Key we decided on The Siesta Key Beachside Villas because of the amenities listed on their website. For these amenities we knew we would be charged an additional $39.00 per day. Some of these included: 50% Off at the local gym, Free 3 hour bicycle rentals, and Free Laundry, Private Beach nearby and Clothes Dryer. Well, During our stay we wanted to make use of the gym BUT the gym had cancelled their "deal" with the hotel (Way before we arrived at the hotel) so, no gym. We wanted to take the bicycles out only to discover they were ALL rusted, some had no kick stands or chains and some of the tires were flat or bent. In addition we asked for bike helmets and were told they didnt have any. Three days into our stay at the hotel we were going to use the Laundry washer and dryer, only to find out that we had to pay to use them! Now for the "private Beach" there was a gate at the entrance to one of the beaches and ANYONE could enter (and did use the beach) NOONE asked for a room key or a wrist bracelet so NO the beach isn't private. When we returned home we emailed the manager of the hotel Danielle Hohn to let her know about the lack of amenities or poor condition of these services. We asked for the $39.00 a day resort fee to be refunded to us due to false advertising and lack of ability to use these amenities. She was very defensive and snotty. She didnt really have any valid reasons for these services that either were not available or not up to quality standard. Next time we will not stay at this hotel. there are many many other really nice places to stay in Siesta Key. If I were you I would move on to...
Read moreThe best i can give the “resort” is a 3. The location can’t be beat. Simple walk to the beach, a few steps to the restaurants/bars & shopping. The grounds are welcoming & fun looking (hammocks here & there, lawn games to play). On the initial entry to the villa, cute, cozy, all new everything, looked amazing & we were happy we picked this place. They even have beach chairs, wagon, beach towels, cooler, nearly everything you need for the beach. They even have bikes you can rent. Then we got settled in, there’s no room for your suitcases (except a luggage stand you have to put in the living room - no room in the bedroom). The mattress is too small for the platform frame. I was scrapping the back of my legs to get in & out of bed. Shimmy along the wall because not enough room between the wall & the bed. The bathroom & kitchenette are great. The girls at the front desk couldn’t be nicer, but the service at best was horrible. I had to ask 4 different times to 3 different people that we needed more pillows. Two times i went to the desk to get them, “we’ll bring them to your room”. Finally on the 3rd day of our 5 day stay, we got the pillows. When i requested to have the room cleaned. They tidied up & made the bed. No new towels, no new shower items (shampoo, etc), no new pods for the coffee maker. I had to go to the desk to ask for all of those things. We talked to several people that were return vacationers and all couldn’t say enough great things about the place. I’m not sure why our stay wasn’t so great. Due to the location, we would consider trying the place again. Hopefully with a much...
