We paid $1,245.96 for a 3-night stay (Sunday to Wednesday in July) at Tropical Breeze Resort. I booked this trip as a birthday surprise for my husband and chose one of the pricier rooms, expecting a great experience — especially since the photos showed a pool right in front of the room. Unfortunately, that was misleading. The photos on the website gave the impression that there would be a pool directly in front of the hotel, but that wasn’t the case. One pool was across the street, and the other required directions just to find it. This was very disappointing. The room was clean, and the staff was very kind and helpful, which we appreciated. However, the room itself lacked functionality. There was no storage — just two hangers and no closet space. I had to use the limited shelf space near the air conditioner to stack the many pillows from the bed. The bathroom also had nowhere to place toiletries or even a toothbrush. There was no full-length mirror in the room, and the internet connection kept dropping. Other issues: The sink's hot and cold water were installed incorrectly. The shower head was unadjustable and hit with too much pressure. The TV in the bedroom was mounted in a location that made it nearly unwatchable. To top it off, we were double charged — once through Booking.com and again at check-in. I noticed the mistake and had to follow up during our stay. Thankfully, the front desk did reimburse the duplicate charge after I brought it up. On the positive side, the location is close to the beach and the city center, and the area was quiet, which we liked. But overall, for the high price, it did not deliver the value or comfort we expected. Sadly, we would not return — there are definitely better options for the money in the area.

Upon our arrival from traveling all day, our room wasn’t ready at arrival (4:30 p.m.). We were told it would take 30 to 40 minutes and that we would receive a call or text when ready. We grabbed dinner and returned at 7 p.m. because there had been no call or text. We were told they would call, but couldn’t because they didn’t have my number on file. We booked the Suite with one bedroom, bunk beds, and a pullout. I traveled with a 14-year-old, a 17-year-old, and a 21-year-old; this was the room setup (see attached photos). Also, there was one bathroom; however, the pull-out stretched from the wall to the TV stand, hindering our ability to access the bathroom from the bedroom. However, we moved the couch to allow adequate maneuverability between spaces. For $900 for two nights, I expected way better than what was offered. Lastly, rhe AC window unit didn't cool the space adequately and there was hair everywhere in the “suite”, on bedsheets, towels, and floors. My family has locs, definitely not ours. Brianna was nice and offered us water and a gift bag for the inconvenience.

The short walk to the amazing beach was my favorite part of this place, but don't take that as anything negative about the rest of the resort. White, powdery sand leads down to the waters edge where you'll find a very unique feature. The water gets deep fairly quickly, then gets shallow just as quickly to become a long sandbar with ankle deep water that gradually gets deeper from there. This breaks many of the waves early so the water at the shoreline is quite calm. Check in was smooth and quick, and staff in the office were friendly and welcoming. Our one bedroom suite was very clean, and had plenty of towels and such for the two of us. We had a unit next to the courtyard pool, which we used a few times. It was a nice size, warm, and saltwater. The location is fantastic. It's a very short walk to some great dining, and there are many bars, restaurants, and shops that are also within walking distance. There is even a market close by if you want to do your own cooking. Our five days here were so amazing, we are already trying to figure out when we can come back.

I'm sad to say that I can no longer recommend Tropical Breeze. We still love Siesta Key and will be back. Just not at TB. My husband and I (and our doggies) have been coming to the resort for 20 years. We live close by so used to visit several times a year for long weekends. We've also rented the beach house for extended stays, hosted a large family reunion and referred numerous friends and clients. That was primarily before the new ownership took over. We've stayed with them a few times, but the level of service and hospitality has noticeably declined And the prices have risen sharply. They now even charge a significant pet fee. Despite our disappointment, we didn't complain. That was; however, until the most recent visit.

My 76-year-old Pharmacist husband has been working 14 hour days - without one vacation day - throughout the pandemic. He has been beyond exhausted and in desperate need of relaxation. We decided the first of March, 2021 to book a stay for the end of May. Since he didn't want to be around a lot of people in a communal area, we reserved one side of the Crab Trap duplex, primarily because of the private pool and outdoor space. We had stayed on both sides over the years and had access to the outdoor space no matter which unit we stayed in. At check in we learned that the new management had changed the rules and the unit we reserved was no longer granted access to the pool/private area. And even though there was no one staying in the the other side the first 24 hours, we were not allowed to use it! However, we still had to pay an outrageous fee of $1,600 for three nights. And to make matters worse, Michael was not granted the third day off from work so we were only going to be there for 48 hours. Se we were paying $800 a night for a simple two bedroom (with dirty floors, linens and kitchenware) with no private area or even a covered porch to relax on.

I was able to enjoy some beach time, but Michael can't take the direct sun. He tried to come down once, but the young lady in the office gave him a broken chair! He was so aggravated - and even more stressed than when he arrived - that he packed up and went home even earlier than planned.

I asked that they make the situation right. The former management would have bent over backwards to do the right thing. They probably would have refunded the whole trip. The new management's solution? To offer a refund of $194.38 out of $1,600!! And I was told to "not post anything negative about their business." They kept referencing their rights in Terms and Conditions. As I told Assistant Manager Andy, "Maybe as you progress through life you will realize that there is much more to doing business than Terms and Conditions."

My husband has unselfishly put his life on the line every single day for the past 15 months to take care of his customers. And he will continue to do so. Even the heartless ones.

In response to management's reply . . . I did not view all the photos, etc. because, again, I had stayed on both sides several times and it didn't cross my mind to check the details for changes. You all are missing my main point of upset. You are focused on the details when an honorable business would be focused...

Well, it's been sometime now and felt it was definitely worthy of writing a negative review. I will start by saying my wife and I have stayed at the Tropical Resorts more than a few times. Further my parents and In-laws have also stayed at the Tropical Resorts more than a few times. In November, 2021 my wife and I stayed for 4 nights which totalled $1200.00. After check out in the morning, we stayed in the area. Later that afternoon we were in a coffee shop in Sarasota, and my wife realized that she left her two piece rose gold & white gold diamond necklace w mother/baby daughter behind. She knew exactly where she left it. (On the bookshelf type shelving separating the room from living area.) She called the front office, identified herself & gave an exact description of her sentimental piece of jewelry. After about 10 minutes, the attendant that answered the phone got back on the phone and said, "We found the thin rosegold chain w a "C", is that what you are missing?" My wife said there is a mother/baby charm with a diamond on a white gold. The two pieces were essentially attached together. As the conversation continued, I drove toward the resort. The attendent stated that was all the maid found. The attendant then put the manager on the phone who said the maid left for the day, and it was her day off the following day. My wife advised that we were going to be on the way and would call the police for a report. This clearly wasn't missing, it was STOLEN. The low-life maid (as the Manager informed us she had been the only one in the room after we left) figured to take the part w the white gold charm & diamond and leave the dainty rosegold necklace behind. Seriously, I could have given the loser $300 cash, so they could have skipped the 2 step process of being a thief and then having to sell to a pawnshop. At No One Point did we ever get any type of compensation from management. I am aware it is not the managers fault. But they have continously sent general emails to their customers offering a fourth night free with 3 night stay. REALLY? With this being said management could have issued some type of refund for one of the nights seeing my wife was so upset for having something so sentimental STOLEN from her. It's wrong and Unacceptable. Not us, nor our families will ever step another foot on their properties. This is a review of absolute truth. 100 %. If you are thinking about reservations, you should really reconsider. If it happened to us, it could definitely happen to you. Know that even though management didn''t take it, they did not care to resolve the problem in anyway. Clearly they showed no concern or respect for their guests. Management should treat guests as they would like...

I left a review regarding room 283 having roaches and did I mention the real reason why tropical breeze close the pool early; RATS COME OUT AT NIGHT SEVERAL OF THEM!!and the rats take a dip in the pool to! But it seems like when you leave a negative comment tropical Breeze want to tactic their response with lies and turn feedback to oppose what was said. My Family and I lost everything during hurricane Ian. I stood at this hotel because it is closes one to drive back and forth to fortMyers. I was Blessed for fema to help me (single parent with 4boys) we only have one car (not several) like Tropical Breeze Resort lied about and my car never got booted but reason why I posted a picture of a car getting towed because another fema family car was the one. I felt a need to post that as well because NOT only was it a pattern of tropical resort behavior but it was noticeable that fema families that was staying was treated BAD!! Not only was TROPICAL BREEZE RESORT WAS TOWING FEMA FAMILY CARS BUT THEY SURE WAS CHARGING FEMA RIDICULOUSLY HIGH PRICES FOR THE ROOMS ( taking advantage of the situation (Hurricane) but also treating families like CRAB!! Yes My two boys was in the pool and they also got yelled at embarrassing by CORONA.. and because I spoke to her firmly about her behavior as a employee tors my two boys (witch by the way she is vey selective in treating Guest in-properly, make u wonder if this establishment is runED by scammers because their room prices, services and stereotypes by race, ethnicity etc. TROPICAL BREEZE INDICATE THEY WERE HAPPY TO HELP FAMILIES DURING THE HURRICANE WITH ROOMs BUT it was MORE SO THEY WERE HAPPY TO GET A BIG CHECK FROM FEMA!! SCAMMERS..... reason why I lasted almost 4 weeks because I HAVE NO FAMILY.. so! What's a single mom with 4 boys to do when their father died last November.. quite of a journey sadly I had. We tried to get rid of the roaches🪳and bought bugs spray was not enough when their baby roaches in the microwave and every ware else... my advice to potential guest is to watch out for room prices $$$$(not so worth it) and rats in the pool and roaches which if you read most comments with same review's like mine are HITTEN! Tropical Breeze Resort sure know how to scam in every way.. possible!! As much tropical breeze want to justified " about Florida bugs" pictures say other wise. By the way that lady Corona manages house keeping so, that...
