5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar - Miramar Beach — Restaurant in Florida

This was my first time at this restaurant. This was a terrible experience. When we entered there was a sign to seat yourself so we did out on the outside deck to be near the water and listen to the live music. It took over 15 minutes to be acknowledged and even then there was confusion as to which of the 3 servers was going to help us. We did receive our drinks promptly but we also had an appetizer which took about 45 minutes. We ordered the blue cheese chips. Once we finally received them, they were cold, had little toppings and the bottom homemade chips were soggy. I was expecting freshly fried homemade chips, but these were as cold as if pulled from a chip bag. For dinner we ordered the burnt ends burger. We waited another 45 minutes to receive our burgers. It was missing the bbq mayo, which it needed because it was dry. We each got four small cubes of burnt ends on our burgers. The burger itself was mediocre and the pretzel buns were cold. The entire time we were there, not one single table had been bussed. Trash was blowing around. Our entire meal and experience was incredibly disappointing and we WILL NOT EVER be returning. Ashley and Jeffrey took care of us the 1st night we stopped in for cocktails. My husband requested Ashley choose a drink for him. After just a few questions, she said," I know the perfect drink for you" and she was right on the money. My husband loved it. The friendly staff was very welcoming so we went back the next day for dinner. Ashley was working again and made awesome drinks. As soon as I inquired about gluten-free options she said her manager would be over to speak with me. Jeff, the manager came over and explained that my meal was prepared in a separate area and that his staff would change gloves and I did not have to worry about cross-contamination. Jeff even asked if I had any additional allergies that they should be aware of. Awesome service for someone with Celiac disease. I'm not used to someone outside my family taking it seriously and I greatly appreciate it. If you have any allergies but still want to enjoy a good meal, I highly recommend you try this place. We were disappointed after reading such good reviews! We waited an hour for our food, only to find out they ran out of chicken fingers and 2 of the kids had to wait another 20 minutes for their food. It was not overly busy and seemed to have enough staff to accommodate. Our server missed out on offering us more drinks by not coming by for almost 25 minutes while waiting for our food. Meanwhile, another server spilled a plate of food near us and while dragging the mop and bucket back to the kitchen, hit one of us in the head with the mop handle and another on the arm, without even acknowledging the fact that she did it. By now, we were almost done eating and just wanted to get out of there, but still waiting for the 2 kids meals. The Manager was nice and took off the two kids chicken strip meals.
